Hikari x Ruki?
i was thinking hard about this, but when i woke up, the image of kabukimon just struck me.
so kabukimon is tailmon's evolution with digimental of sincerity. let's say in this universe, tailmon somehow got to evolve in kabukimon. maybe then hikari and tailmon would get naturally curious about kabuki, so they went to watch one. they sat beside ruki, who was accompanying her grandmother (we watched one scene in about this in tamers). ruki kinda eyed tailmon along the show, sensing that tailmon wasn't just a mere cat or doll.
after the show, she approached hikari and tailmon and asked them about it. hikari welcomed her curiosity and that was the start of their friendship. ruki, on the other hand, was charmed with hikari's gentle personality—she never met a person as sweet as her.
