Her eyelids were too heavy to open. Swollen and raw from crying, Osha couldn't pry her dry lids apart. Her thighs ached and her head pounded a steady rhythmic pain. The scent of old wood smoke permeated the air. Tangled under a thin sheet and heavy wool blanket, she was too weary to move, yet the spiky pressure on her bladder was insistent that she relieve herself.

The bomb was RIGHT behind Mel. How is Mel one of the only two uninjured person? “There’s no sense to these things” I don’t think so Mel. What are you hiding. It definitely has to be about the Mel’s golden *thing* that shined right before the bomb and after the bomb. As for Jayce she was hugging Mel so if the golden *thing* was some magical armor then it’s not surprising that Jayce survived. But I REALLY do hope they will get into this more in the upcoming episodes. Maybe that Black Rose stuff is about this, I have no idea. Anyways I would like to also get your thoughts on this.

Part of the epic reunion in TWOL was driven by after almost 8 years apart, Rick nor Michonne moved on and the yearning for their soulmate persisted despite all the barriers. Are there scenarios that you could imagine where both experiment with intimacy or a different type of connection and still find their way back to one another? I’m not imagining a love triangle but something like Siddiq and Michonne having a brief moment (instead of what played out with him and Rosita) deeper than great friendship ? Other thoughts?

Thank you for asking. 😊 While I think there isn't much that could stop Rick and Michonne from finding their way back to each other, I can't imagine a scenario where they try to briefly experiment with intimacy with other people. And I am super super glad that they didn’t enter into anything romantic with anyone else. To me, Rick and Michonne not moving on with anyone else in any way was the absolute right choice for those characters.

By spending all those years yearning only for each other, it really hammered home how profound Rick and Michonne’s connection is. To the point that even when they had to seriously consider that they may never see each other again they still wanted to spend the rest of their life committed to and in love with one another. I love that they both waited for each other for years and operated every day like they were still actively married.

I was rewatching The Acolyte ep 8 and then jumped back to ep 4 and noticed these two times Qimir speaks to Osha and Mae are so similar.

Qimir tells the twins about the other and then walks away.

Osha and Mae linger and ponder what he says. Mae has a yearning spirit about her, surprised and alarmed about Osha’s relationship to Sol. Osha is unsure, wondering why Mae would go so easily.

I love this because 1) the way Manny utilizes his vocal range to portray his own character “twins” is so excellent. And 2) Amandla shows these twins in almost the exact same situation in ep 4 and 8 but the portrayal is still distinct. They’re similar but not the same. Qimir affirms that.
