Lan Wangji doesn't know what face blindness is he just knows it's rude not to recognize people, so when someone is bold or stupid enough to make a comment about how different Wei Wuxian looks now Wangji just glares at them and says "It is not difficult if one makes the effort".

No one else knows what the fuck he means by that.

the juniors (meaning Lan Jingyi and Jin Ling) get into an argument about it because Huanguan-jun says Wei Wuxian doesn't look much different but Sect Leader Jiang says his new face 'freaks him out'.

They try to ask Wei Wuxian (who also doesn't realize he has face blindness) but he just shrugs and says he doesn't remember what he looked like. The Juniors riot.

The Juniors try to get Wen Ning to settle the debate but while he does not have face blindness he does hate conflict so he says he also forgot what Wei Wuxian looked like. The Juniors are rapidly developing a conspiracy about it.
