Middle names are such a bizarre concept. Almost everyone you meet has a given name and a family name, but also a secret third name that we all know is there but basically never acknowledge. Like I could go my whole life knowing you as Bobert Smithington and then get smacked upside the head one day finding out you were also secretly a Marvin and I just have to accept that
#I started going by my middle name in high school#and now people who have only met me as an adult are completely flabbergasted when they hear someone who knew me as a kid#refer to me by my first name#and when Carl and I were first married people used to argue over what his wife's name really was#and when they would apply to us to settle the argument our answer was always#yes#anyway#I have a lovely first name but I FEEL more like a Louise#so that's what I go by#also my great-gram's middle name was Louise#so it's my way of staying connected to my family roots#but it definitely throws people off
