about to lose my shit on this fucking shit- adam kokesh call to bear arms and bring rifles and march around the capitol bullshit is causing all the pacifist, nonviolent guru folk to talk about standing in between the guns and the police with flowers.
like wtf, left wing people are calling it an 'illegal march' which basically reinforces the state's control over what assembly is 'valid' or 'justified' and therefore worthy of NOT BEING ASSAULTED BY POLICE. fucking apologism.
people marching with guns does not 'provoke' the police state. this is the same peace policing rhetoric that pacifists use to silence people who YELL at the cops by calling them 'violent' or 'disruptive'. the state should be fully responsible for their ability to exercise authoritarian violence.
this also ignores the history of armed left struggle including the Black Panthers, who did not arm themselves to 'provoke the police' but to defend their community.
PLEASE LET ME clarify, i don't want rightwingers or libertarians with guns flexing their useless muscles but i will say that any type of implication that carrying a gun provokes state violence is fucking apologist.
it justifies state terror and encourages victim blaming, snitchjacketing and the demonization of militancy.
I'm not in a rush or anything but you see the environmental crisis is pretty drastic and reform efforts are enabling and counterproductive and only misdirect energy so I will admit, since some libertarian fuck is being ridiculous and chose to call for this type of an action, i am interested to see what the state does if a group arms themselves. clearly, a right leaning group rather than a left leaning autonomous grouping. it would be interesting to see strategically how the state chooses to show force, or whether the state escalates. i know it's easy to make this about gun rights and who and what has that right, but if you are going to have that conversation without talking about state violence you are not addressing the root of the problem
any rhetoric about 'provoking the police' is BULLSHIT. if shit does pop off and people are shot and killed and i hear a fucking WORD about anyone having asked for it or deserved it or should have expected it, i will lose my shit all over your face. i don't give a fuck if they're rightwing; state apologism is NOT OKAY.
Rand Paul filibustering in the senate about being able to track and charge 'terrorists' with treason, instead of executing them. Like eating and shit just casually talking about the global war on terror.
