“I would like to hear more discussions on the idea that one person cannot fulfill all our needs – it’s one of the strongest arguments for non-monogamy for me. There are real virtues and benefits of non-monogamy (not just the logistics of how to do it), such as the personal growth one experiences by letting go of jealousy, knowing that your lover/partner is a freer person because of your understanding, and the fact that all involved have an opportunity to get to know, love, and experience different people.”
Fuck a viable alternative
i explore non-viable alternatives to sustain me or my community, or a growing network of communities, only in terms of sustaining revolt. what i mean by non viable is knowing they are limited in how they can be 'viable' or succeed within the context of capitalism, as inherently somewhat-perverted ideas put into action by the resistance [inarguably also a product of the system].
but agree with this wholeheartedly in that you do not need a 'viable' alternative in order to urge the destruction of the current system.
for those who continue responding to destruction and anger at the system by insisting on a viable alternative, as if there is one way and not MANY failed ways and attempts and temporary successes, i'm surprised they do not focus on 'viable' or effective resistance first rather than limiting the discourse of revolt by insisting a 'viable' alternative be presented first.
