The drawing is done with a thin black brush, quite messy in parts of the illustration, and on clothes, that brush is also used to assist in the shading, with many thin diagonal lines. The main shading is done with a wider, transparent red brush, it looks quite sharp on the face, and the rendering gives the lit parts a slight glow. The lighting overall is very red.
Behind Yusha is a texture of bright glowing red, and behind that — a texture of dark green, almost black where it’s closest to the edges.
