PART 7: Mallory Keen as a chiblocker

I have no particular reason for this decision, but Mallory had chiblocker vibes for me idk... maybe because her benefits in battle were agility and great aim.

For her backstory, she was attacked by a combustion bender (she died from a bomb explosion in the books) and then learned to chiblock to defend herself more effectively. Also imagine the power floor 19 would have if they have someone who can take away bending, even though it’s temporary.

PART 6: Loki as a bloodbender

Loki in canon has scenes where he controls his children and he is all about manipulation, so I made him a bloodbender. I think he would be able to bloodbend without the full moon, like the ones in LOK.

In this AU, he escaped from his prison with bloodbending(like Hama).

In case anyone’s wondering, Loki doesn’t have the scar from his lips being sewn shut, since he is a human in this AU and I don’t think anyone would be able to survive poison and sewn lips at the same time.

PART 5: Blitzen as a metalbender

I mean there’s no other option than to make him an earthbender because... he is an earthbender in canon (he can mold rock and stuff)

I decided to make him a metalbender since he is very inventive and I thought it would be cool if Empty Cups Fam had two earthbenders with each sub skill. (Alex w/ lavabending)

My headcanon is that he would make metal ducks whenever he gets anxious lol

Just imagine him opening a clothing store in some major Earth Kingdom city like Ba Sing Se or Omashu...

PART 4: Hearthstone as an airbender

Although Hearth can control both water and fire in canon, I thought airbending would fit him, since he is often described as graceful and light with a sarcastic and kind personality.

However him growing up in the air temples didn’t make sense because a big part of his character was formed by family (Andiron’s death and his abusive father.) So hear me out: an airbender from the fire nation. My headcanon is that he is a descendant of an airbender(like Kyoshi) but still born in a FN noble family. Bonus points if Andiron was a talented firebender and Hearth didn’t discover his bending until he ran away.

His clothes are that color because 1. He needs to look different from Sam 2. He wouldn’t care what nation’s color he is wearing since he spent some time homeless/as a runaway 3. For some reason I can’t draw him without a blue/purple color pallette.

PART 3: Alex Fierro as a lavabender

(I’ll use she/her pronouns for Alex in this post)

Unlike traditional earthbending, lavabending is more like firebending(quick, fierce moves) and waterbending(changing state, fluid). Alex fit this type of bending so well. Also, Alex is a potter in canon so that is another reason for her to be an earthbender, too.

I think while she is an earthbender, she could be descended from firebenders, preferably the Sun Warriors. Alex was told to be a descendant of the Aztecs(and their culture inspired the Sun Warriors in ATLA) and because firebending also deals with heat, it could make her lavabending stronger... (but I am fully aware that a lavabender doesn’t have to be of both earthbender/firebender descent.) This is why I included pink(usually wore by fire nation) and green(earth kingdom color) in her clothing. However, Alex’s pink & green clothes are very iconic so I would have included them, one way or another.

Plus just imagine Alex lavabending she would be able to kill everyone if she gets pissed off lmao

PART 2 : Samirah Al-Abbas as an airbender

Samirah can fly in canon, she has strong beliefs in her religion, and she can be calm and badass at the same time. I thought airbending could be perfect for her. Also, in Avatar Wan’s era, there were several female airbenders with head coverings, so Muslim-representing air nomads were an interesting topic to explore.

Magnus Chase x Avatar Part 1/? : Magnus Chase as a waterbender Magnus’s primary demigod power is healing, so I decided to make him a healer waterbender. His powers also included some airbending abilities but I think his personality and other qualities fit water better than air. It’s ironic how he hates blue(water tribe color) and wolves(also prevalent animals in water tribe). However, I think this irony can make Magnus in this AU more interesting because it makes sense for his mother to be killed by wolves like the canon.

Blitzstone is such a good ship... I can’t believe it’s still not canon even after all the chemistry

I included daisy flowers in the first one because that’s what blooms sometimes when Hearth sleeps. The second one is kinda my headcanon of how they first met and all and Blitz saving Hearth.

Also it’s funny that Hearth is the oldest looking among the three(in his twenties I guess) but actually he is probably the youngest (Nico over 80 yrs old and Anubis a few thousands)
