I just wanted to let you know that I read "my strange girl" a while back and it became a comfort thing to me ever since, as a 19 yo autistic lesbian myself it felt so heartwarming to read such a wholesome and beautiful sapphic love story, I don't have much faith in finding love myself when I can barely keep friends, but your story keeps me dreaming. Reading it makes me cry, giggle and kick my feet, Louis being all comprehensive and understanding over Harry's feelings and needs, the way she's so straightforward and honest makes me wanna cry and throw up.

This has made me feel a bit teary anon, what a truly lovely message to receive. I am SO glad that my fic felt comforting and relatable to you.
And I also wanna say that I relate to you with feeling like that kind of love is out of reach for me - I definitely wrote the fic as a kind of daydream about what I’d like for myself, but I also think that it’s really good to articulate what a healthy and supportive relationship would look like and to hold on to the certainty that we deserve that kind of love and understanding. And that it might take a long time to find that in a romantic partner, but also it’s important to recognise that we can find moments of that understanding in a variety of places throughout our lives!! I hope that we both get to be surrounded by people with the gentle patience and loving attention that Louis shows Harry in that fic.
Also one final thing, I appreciate your compliment on my actual writing so so much - I’m still quite new to it and don’t always feel very confident in my writing style so that really means a lot to me.

the only advice i have is to spend some time trying to take care of yourself, whether that be showering, eating, taking a walk outside, watching your fav tv show, what ever makes you feel even a little more like yourself.

I’m gonna go for now I’m in it by Haim; in the past when I’d had a really depressed day at uni, sometimes around 5pm I’d manage to gather myself enough to get on a bus to big Sainsbury’s and go be a person in the world and buy myself some nourishing food, and I had a playlist I’d always listen to on the bus so I associate all the songs from that playlist with moving forward

Why was his show not fun👀
Hahaha this is such a funny message to receive, I’m assuming this is about my tags on the James acaster gifset lol.
Basically he kind of picked on the crowd a bit - we were in Cambridge, and most people who come to perform there and only know about the university and the history of posh people at the uni, so he kept going on about how the audience was posh and too up ourselves, and a few other moments when he was picking on particular people in the audience.
Not to get too deep about it but from listening to him on podcasts (lol) I think he is kind of insecure and always assumes the crowd is against him, and it comes out in him being really confrontational and kind of shitty lol.
Like his actual show was great but there was kind of an uncomfortable atmosphere from the way he interacted with the audience, which meant I found it hard to relax and enjoy the show.
