The Order of the Wakandan Tribes - (2021)

A follow up to The Order of The Avengers (available HERE and HERE). All the outfits are inspired by the ones of various African people (Maasai people, Zulu people, Himba people, etc..) but also by concept art from the book The Art of Black Panther.

I am not a spy who can come and go as they so choose. I am loyal to the throne, no matter who sits upon it. What are you loyal to?

“Unlike, T’Challa’s scene with T’Chaka, the conversation between Killmonger and N’Jobu seems like a mixture of the past and present. And that’s the point of the scene. Killmonger is so broken from the past that it clouds his vision of the present and future.” (x)

For the the first time in millions of black children’s lives, they got to see themselves as both warrior and king. Your contribution to the culture was invaluable. You truly were the hero of an entire generation. Wakanda forever and ever and ever king. Rest easy.

“I did love being able to do the scene in the casino, that was a really cool experience, the whole jazz of it, because it’s like you know her versus… the ‘quintessential like woman handles the business or whatever she got to do’ scene. But I did love the scene between me and Lupita, because you know we had to go in deep and hard and we had to live in these different convictions though we’re like sisters. The goal was to really irk and provoke the other to another place while holding on to your belief. It was just one of those moments where you just kind of get lost in it with your fellow actor. It was an amazing experience and I loved what it produced.”
