honestly i really can’t believe that some people were complaining about how bts’ concept photos were “ugly” or “unaesthetic.” at this point in their career, some people need to wake up and realize that bts aren’t just any kpop group. (and i mean this in no disrespect to any other kpop groups) they are constantly defying and challenging the standards and norms within the korean pop culture with the controversial topics and songs that they write. some people need to realize that it’s not just about the aesthetics anymore, yes, the young forever and most beautiful moment in life (and others) concepts were absolutely stunning, and those concepts also had meanings as deep as anything, but bts’ story and concepts are also going to be changing because they’re touching on the topics that they feel are important to let people know about. thanks for listening to my ted talk :)
