Pie and sandwiches are just two of the things that we know Dean loves because of how it reminds him of his mother and with that a time everything seemed okay. We were shown it in episodes like 5x16 “Dark Side of the Moon” or 2x20 “What Is And What Should Never Be”. Given that S12 sees the return of Mary Winchester and with that basically setting up the complete and true re-write of the Winchesters’ story that started with their mother’s death, it begs the question if maybe while Sam and Dean truly get to know their mother with all her flaws too, if there will be scenes included showing us more glimpses into Dean’s childhood and with that maybe also moments that show us if maybe Mary is also the reason for some of the things Dean loves as much as Charlie’s mom was the reason for why Charlie loves the things she loves.
