I am not a fan of hot apple cider at all so I would choose to live in a world without hot chocolate (even though I love it)

Merry Christmas! Tell us about your day!
Slept in till the afternoon, after breakfast we took an hour to open up presents and take photos. Sat around the tree and talked for a while, then had lunch which were basically last nights leftovers. After cleaning the mess of wrapping paper and gift boxes we gathered around the tv to watch home alone 2. Spent most of the evening being lazy and cozy around the fireplace.
What do you do the day after Christmas?
Usually I like to hang out with my friend and go shopping for a bit. This year I spent it with my family at home, reading and watching tv.
What was the best moment
One of my friends surprised me by leaving me presents on my front door, it was very unexpected
What are you grateful for?
I’m grateful for my friends that help me get through these crappy times, and that is was a white christmas this year

What was the most memorable holiday celebration you had at school?
In grade 4 we made gingerbread houses, after taking a bite I realized I was allergic to it, which resulted in me puking my guts out in the washroom

I wish covid cases would decrease, and hopefully soon we can sort of go back to normal lives

I gave my friend a set of her favorite movies, wasn’t sure it was a good gift but when I saw her reaction I knew she loved it

What is a favourite family Christmas/holiday memory that has stuck with you through the years? Why?
I was around 5 years old and after opening my presents getting everything on my wish list I realized that my parents were Santa Claus. I thought it was really sweet that my parents were still pretending and were oblivious to the fact that I knew.
Does your family have any odd traditions during the holidays?
My family either likes to go on a walk or a drive around the neighborhood in the evening of christmas day and that's about the oddest thing we do
When do you buy your Christmas presents?
From the end of November up until the 20th of December but I got an early start this year since 90% of the gifts are from online orders

When should people start preparing for, decorating and celebrating Christmas?
November 15th is a good time to start decorating but I don't have anything against decorating early November or late December
What do you usually do during the holidays?
Sleep in, read and watch a lot of tv. Chaotoically prepare for christmas eve dinner
What is a cherished family tradition from your childhood?
My family always watches home alone (on christmas day after opening presents), christmas with the kranks and how the Grinch stole christmas every holidays

Do you get a break from school/uni/work during winter?
I get at least a week off of work and around a month of off school
How do you stay motivated during winter?
It a lot easier for me to stay motivated when there’s snow on the ground, I like to create a certain comfy aesthetic around my work space which has huge windows to look out. I also have a lot of study buddies that I study with including my friends and cousins during the winter months to help me motivated (not anymore cause of covid)

The typical winter scented candles suck (vanilla, gingerbread, and cinnamon)
