REVENGE OF THE SITH
He became so powerful… the only thing he was afraid of was losing his power, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Plagueis never saw it coming. Ironic. He could save others from death, but not himself.

what a fine pride month to remember that the Darkling, Mal, and Alina are all proudly bisexual and in a loving relationship 🌒💖🌞
You know what my biggest gripe with Endgame was? That one of the central conflicts of the movie was on the idea of the idea that the things that happened after a big traumatic event still happened. You can’t–and shouldn’t–undo those things, even if you get a chance. Which, paired with Steve’s story of trying to adjust to the modern world should have been a slam dunk, that his arc could have been great, that he can’t undo what happened, so he has to move forward. Make new friends. Save the people that exist now, because they could use his help, too. These things should have mattered. And, instead, they just wrote him as going back to the past instead of actually growing as a character. Now you have The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. You have a story about Sam struggling to accept the weight of the legacy of Captain America, that he doesn’t feel like it’s his, despite that the show takes great care to portray him as exactly what modern America is like. You have a story that’s looking like it’s going to contrast him against the traditional white male hero as the face of America, who should also be progressing forward in the wake of trauma and how what happened can’t be undone and should matter. And you have a story about Bucky Barnes, who grew up with Steve Rogers, who has been part of the Captain America story since practically the beginning, who is trying to move forward. Who is trying to deal with everything that happened in the wake of trauma and that matters. Who is shown interacting with what current day America looks like. What a difference it makes when you have writers who care about this stuff and these characters and their themes.
