i’m making that zoya/mal gifset and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH?! as a couple but not even as a couple, as characters. truly my two faves. because it’s amazing how they both basically play second fiddle and they are cool with it.
they are the supporting roles of the main hero/villain, alina and darkling. mal will always come second after alina, he is her friend, lover, her shield, her home but people will never look at him twice. she is the important one, she is sankta alina. zoya plays the same part for darkling, he uses her in more ways than one and than trades her off for newer model - alina. zoya loves him and wants him to love her or at least want her back but he doesn’t, so she settles. she wants to be loved and she is loyal to him unconditionaly (until he of couse, kills her family)
but you see, that could’ve been very well mal’s life as well. the only difference is that alina loves him back. they are both strong characters with their own journeys and powers and arcs and yet...
and that’s why i think that, ironically, in a world where alina would choose darkling or really where she isn’t an option, zoya/mal would work. they are driven, action forward, funny and flirty, bitchy and mean and they’d find comfort in each other.

Hey its the bobiwan cals parents au anon (I should really stop saying that) and I forgot your URL and couldn't tell you about my dumb Thoughts that I already forgot at this point. Anyway I remember that a while ago I saw a gifset of what I assume is bo katan in the mandalorian, although I still haven't seen the new episodes so I'm not sure, and I thought about it for days and I wanted to talk to you about it but I couldn't. This is a very long way of saying that I think about the au a lot and also I missed talking to you about it

also that happens, and i changed my url, so no blame for you. i haven’t watched second season of ‘the mandalorian’ yet, either (i have very lengthy shitpost about it, but eh). i think katee sackhoff looks fabulous as bo-katan, they could’ve given her some grey hair, so she lookes like 30 years actually passed by but, it’s katee and bo-katan, they couldn’t go wrong with that. she dubbed bo-katan since the beginning, i’m sure she knows exactly how to play her. and yeah, i think about them A LOT. like.... a lot...like....
anyways, thank you, anon, for coming back, ‘bobiwan are cal’s parents au’ lives on @bokryze also told me that she’ll be making live action obi-wan/bo-katan gifset. i’ll be making one aswell, i just need some inspiration.
