So Many More Game of Thrones Cast Members - It’s not just Max Von Sydow, Jessica Henwick, Gwendoline Christie, and Thomas Brodie-Sangster representing Westeros in The Force Awakens. Since Star Wars and Game of Thrones share the same casting director, Nina Gold, there’s plenty more cross-over. Mark Stanley who played Jon Snow’s doomed friend Grenn is credited as a “Clan Leader” in other words one of the rain-drenched Knights of Ren. Miltos Yerolemou who played Arya’s doomed fencing master, Syrio Forel, is a patron in Maz Kanata’s bar and Emun Elliott who played doomed (so much doom) singer Marillion is one of the Resistance fighters with just one line: “A laser cannon?”
