The UK’s next Prime Minister is now guaranteed to be either Theresa May or Andrea Leadsom but PLEASE do not celebrate this. Having either of these women as PM is not a win for feminism or any sort of equality. They are both scumbags. Both women are members of the Conservative Party, aka the party for rich white racists in the south of England. May hates immigrants (she wants to ban all non-EU immigrants who earn less than £35000 and has threatened to oust all settled EU immigrants following Brexit) and is a hard-line authoritarian on law & order. Leadsom is against same-sex marriage, has promised to repeal the fox hunting ban, and dreams of following in her hero’s footsteps - Margaret Thatcher. 

They will push to cut state benefits for the most needy and vulnerable people in Britain. They will target the disabled, the impoverished, the refugees, the immigrants, the elderly, the low-income households. They will reward big business and their rich friends. This is not GIRL POWER.
