Sun and Fun on the Airport Run

Mugs is working really hard to make us think she’s in Vancouver. According to this story, Mugs drove to the Vancouver Airport on 16 January (while Harry was making his first post-Mugs appearance back in the UK) to pick up her Pilates buddy Heather Dorak (a pre-Harry pal, of course). Paps just happened to be there, catching a couple dozen pics and a short video of Mugs behind the wheel of a black Land Rover.

The pap shots show a sunny day with a bit of melting snow on the ground, and plenty of greenery:

In the next pic, below, the pavement is wet, but there is NO SNOW on the Land Rover, the yellow car, the lovely green plants and bushes in the background, on the sidewalk or on the curb.

Bright sun reflects off the car’s fender, and Heather’s face is partly shadowed because the sun is shining.

As we can see, it was not sunny. In fact, there would have been plenty of snow still around, according to Vancouver is Awesome (https://www.vancouverisawesome.com/vancouver-news/vancouver-received-a-whopping-34-cm-of-snowfall-in-5-days-environment-canada-2026667) :

“According to Sekhon, Vancouver International Airport received a staggering 34 cm of snowfall between Jan. 10 and Jan. 15.”

So unless it nearly all melted off (very unlikely with the temps above) by the time Mugs showed up the very next day, those PR pics were taken at another, much warmer, time.

This is fantastic….but can you do the same for the Victoria airport?

I am so tired of all the lies this was Thursday and Vancouver area.

So was it just bright and sunny right over the airport? Such utter nonsense! There is still snow in the area I just happened to be stuck there because of the snow. It snowed until today. Snow, ice rain last night!

Tumblarians are mentioning widely different weather for 16 Jan.

This just in from an anon who posted to Skippy: “The snowy picture that Victoria International Airport tweeted out were not a status update. It was just a picture accompanied by a thank to the ground crew. In Vancouver on Wednesday we had snow, but by Thursday it was bright and sunny all day. On Thursday lots of snow was starting to melt and most main roads were totally clear. The Meghan pictures may be from 2015, but I just want to put the right information out there, and yesterday it was sunny here.“

Snow is not melting on Thursday in fact they got more snow on Thursday! There is snow still TODAY! It was not bright and sunny all day. There may have been an hour of sun on and off but the skies had low snow clouds all day. It was belie zero. The snow WAS NOT MELTING! Also because of all the snow and the plows there would have been snow built up along where car is parked at the airport. We did not see any of that. If it snowed well over a foot and then they plow all the snow to the side of the road there would have been a few feet of snow. There is still drifts that are 4 feet tall. I would really love to know how it was bright and sunny there at the airport with no snow yet it was snowing everywhere else.

It sure looks like it....
