just finished 8:11 and wow, it was great!! it was a joy (and also terrifying) to play. I have a question: is there anywhere in the game where accardi is explicitly shown to be a cannibal? Or is it all just hinted at (his dialogue in the car, his office, etc.)? I am unsure if there is a secret scene somewhere that I missed, but after knowing about his ~habits~ and going back and rereading dialogue i’m like wow…it was really here the whole time huh

Hmmm….. No, Accardi was never explicitly shown eating human meat or such. There’s only a few dialogue scenes with him about it, but, overall it hasn’t been caught on by Ryker yet. It’s something he’s well experienced in, and, originally there was going to be a scene in the first game that you watch him prep and cook you a meal, then eat it afterwards. However, I was never able to get the cooking game mechanics to work how I wanted so it was just scrapped all together.
I read through your most recent post, and saw that you answered an ask about Accardi's hands. Vittorino said something (I don't remember what) made his palms hurt. Is this a reference to stigmata? (When people, mainly believers, take on the wounds of Christ after his crucifixion.) I may just be reading too far into this, haha.

I don’t know if I can give a full answer just yet, due to possible spoilers, (this guy and his possible spoilers, gosh lol), but Vittorino is referring to a specific condition (?) that Accardi has mentioned to the player in Act 2.
Though there might be implications of other characters or people who were in the Basilica with themes around stigmata, in the future, but none of it applies to Accardi since he is non religious. All the fun, wacky things happen to the religious characters in this context, hahahaha
What hair type does Accardi have? 4C? 3C?4A? I want to draw his hair correctly.
I like to think he has 3C!

There's a few lines about this, one including towards the end, he asks what your favorite color is [Ryker likes purple] and Accardi says his favorite is red.
It’s also an aphrodisiac for him.

Typically I am skeptical of messages asking about gender+pronouns, as I don't like the idea of responding to some negative bait messages. But this seems fun so I will answer away:)
As far as Accardi, and everyone in the cast (Minus Ryker) I'm fine with people playing and headcanoning gender and pronouns. Ryker, on the other hand, is very different, obviously, and I ask that people just be careful when headcanoning pronouns on Ryker. [In French, some nonbinary people use a mixture of she/her and he/him due to the language, but don’t take that as law from me.] Everyone’s gender and pronouns are “set in stone” for me, but, I don’t mind fans playing around with headcanons as long as they are respectful 👍

Oh c'mon anon.....I can't go spoiling the fun for the second chapter now:P
Though, if they don’t know, they’re crazy guys but still human. Juliek would freak out, for sure, as Accardi has been cooking for him and his family for so many years.... and we don’t know how long Accardi has been a cannibal for. Even for a weird guy like Vittorino, he wouldn’t take that information well.

Accardi most definitely thought Ryker was dead.......
The hospital lines Accardi told was probably just a really good cover-up hahahah. He most likely wanted to stuff Ryker’s corpse into his car to save for later......... A little midnight snack perhaps:) He’s a nice guy though so I mean.... luckily he didn’t try to kill Ryker upon them waking up, I guess, hahaah. Later Ryker asks if Accardi is afraid of blood due to his reactions. He says yes........though that’s not true hahaha.
He also took pictures of the crime. So he’s a freak too, just like everyone else in Rosso Cadere. But he does really form a crush on Ryker, as we later at the bar scene. Maybe the wires in his head with cannibalism and crushes just..... get mixed around;) We’ll see....

Hahahahaha the resemblance is there, for sure. I don't remember exactly, but I'm sure Garry was some inspiration, subconsciously at least hahaha.
Accardi's other inspirations were Koito (Golden Kamuy), Hannibal (NBC show) and probably some others I’ve forgotten due to time hahahah. I’m glad people love Accardi<3

I’ve found some old, or originally considered “lost” graphics from the game. I thought these (sprites, cgs, maps, Accardi cooking-mini-game sprites above, etc) were lost forever, but I have re-discovered them through a complicated process ;)
Some things will possibly be added to the mystery update.... Or saved for the sequel..... We’ll see :}
