Gotta hand it to RWBY for actually going through on their anti-fascism messages. Most shows I've seen where they stress that the fascist kingdom or government has committed atrocities damning enough to deserve destruction don't actually go through with said destruction and pull back at the last second in favor of peace (Ex. Frozen 2, Star Vs, Steven Universe)

Team RWBY straight up said "Nah we're destroying this fascist kingdom" and FUCKING DID. All without spilling a drop of innocent blood.

... Except the destruction of Atlas was at no point whatsoever painted as a Good thing nor did team rwby "choose to destroy the fascist kingdom". Atlas and Mantle were doomed no matter what because of the Atlas corruption which paved the way for Salem's Grimm invasion.

The kingdom being destroyed wasn't some revolutionary "fuck yeah anti fascism" plot - it's was literally the Worst Case Scenario and the team using the staff was their literal Last Ditch Effort to save as many people as humanly possible. If they had been able to just destroy the grimm and keep Atlas and Mantle in tact, they would have done that instead.

People just becoming politically aware are never going to appreciate just how fucking hated this guy was before he was in politics. He was hated for over half a century. Everyone aware of him mocked and derided him as a cheating, greedy corporate asshole and mindless bully and this is by far not the only time anyone clocked his ass but it is probably one of the only times it got caught on video. Hatred of him was bipartisan all my life and it just goes to show how easily right wingers can be suckered by anyone who kisses their collective asshole on their pet agendas.

Never forget that the reason Trump seems like an over-the-top stupidly villainous antagonist from a 90s movie is because half of them were based on Trump and making fun of him.

The reason The Simpsons and a handful of other comedies ‘predicted’ the Trump presidency was because he kept saying he wanted to run and nobody could think of anything funnier than a President Trump.

I keep seeing people talking about the “Red Mirage” the idea that it only looks like Republicans are winning and it could still go either way.

Yes. So here's what happens:

All good and true information. Don't lose hope. Don't panic. It looks scary right now but polls only closed less than two hours ago in the first states. We have a long way to go.

This is a documented thing! It occurs most often with hearts but can happen with any transplanted organ. It's called 'cellular memory' and I wrote a whole paper on it during my freshman year of uni. It's also why some transplant recipients experience new preferences, thoughts, and sometimes behaviors their donor was known to have. Like favourite foods or drinks, subtle changes in personality (like becoming a bit more daring, etc), and more. It's usually temporary as the organ adjusts to its new person's preferences, experiences, habits, etc. It's fascinating and awesome and I would love to study it in-depth someday.

Which is why I want all of my organs upon death given to the same person. Hostile takeover from within.

I'm just trying to figure out what situation would require multiple organ transplants all at once.
