it's Marina Liteyears, from one of my all-time favorite games, Mischief Makers... i'm THRILLED with how this came out
i've been loving ufo 50 and wanted to pixel 3 characters from some of my favorite games in it
was looking at that rosemarie painting i did and realized now that i have a finished painting of her i could use it as inspiration for doing the pixel art version i use as my icon. so i updated it accordingly
felt like doing something small after that gigantic painting, so i practiced rendering various things. all within 24x24 pixel canvases and under 16 colors each
i realized i've never done a fully-rendered piece of just, rosemarie in what's supposed to be her default outfit, so... finally took a crack at that. this might be the most detailed painting i've ever done so far? i feel like i learned a lot while doing it. especially happy with how the rendering on the gold parts went
working on a huge super detailed painting of my fursona. in the meantime have this simple fun mspaint sketch i did with her in a fraction of the fraction of the time the painting will take
nothing like being stressed about a hurricane to make you wanna redo an old piece as easy comfort food. it's glass joe from punch out, again. i'm very pleased with how the shorts and gloves came out in particular
it's morrigan aensland from darkstalkers/vampire savior. i don't usually do sprites of characters that already have famously great pixel art, but i felt like trying something a little different than usual this time. it was fun, i might do this more?
oops! i forgot i actually got 95% finished with this in january then forgot to finish and post it. well here we are now, it's auron time. hopefully lulu will be done to finish my planned trio soon
always wanted to do a pixel piece based on quest 64... i have something of a soft spot for this game
decided to try some game boy sprites for pokemon. might do more game boy stuff in the future. can you see my grass type bias?
one of my favorite ninja from one of my all-time favorite games, Hotsuma, from Shinobi (PS2)
saw some old mario sprites i did, felt like taking another crack at it plus trying more background stuff. i'm really happy with how this came out, especially the clouds!
i finished namari, so i went ahead and put her together with EVERYONE else. the 4 i just did, and the original 4 i did a few years ago. i'm very happy with how this all went. stick around for a bonus thing soon too...
i've always loved when mega man games have a cool big sprite for the "YOU GOT <WEAPON NAME>" screens. wanted to take my own modern crack at one!
3 out of 4 meshis done, it's Thistle time! he's really mad that you keep messing with his dungeon. stop doing that.
part 2 of wave 2 of the dungeon meshi portraits + rpg sprites: Falin!! i'm SUPER happy w how this one came out, i'm eager to do the next two now
