do you know of any good harlivy comics to read?

yeah sure! i tried to put the ones that have the best interactions.

pre n52
  • Batman: Harley Quinn #1 (1999) this one has a lot of joker too so be careful
  • Harley Quinn (2000) #1, #3, #5, #11-19
  • Catwoman #83 (2010)
  • Gotham City Sirens (2009-2011)  this one is basically all about them + selina, some people dont really like the characterization but i enjoyed it.
n52
  • Harley Quinn (2013-2016) #2, #6-7, #15-20, #25, #29 (lots of ugly scenes with the joker, b careful), #30
  • Harley Quinn Annual #1 (2014)
  • Batman: Black and White #3 (2014) that one iconic scene with ivy and harley saving the little girl from her abuser
  • Harley Quinn Road Trip Special #1 (2015)
  • Harley Quinn Valentine’s Day Special #1 (2015)
  • Convergence Harley Quinn #1-2 (2015)
  • Catwoman #50 (2016) ok they appear supper briefly but they look cute so,
rebirth
  • Harley Quinn (2016- on going) #1, #2, #3, #8, #9,
  • DC Holiday Special #1 (2016)
alternative universes or other
  • The Batman Strikes! #41 (2008)

  • Batman: Arkham Knight #38 (2015)
  • Scooby Doo Team-Up #23 (2015)
set on the animated universe

these are a bit mmmmn and where the whole “ivy abuses harley as much as the joker!” myth comes from, but tbh its really not serious.

  • The Batman Adventures #12 (1993)
  • Batman Adventures Holiday Special (1995) this one is iconic and also appears as an episode in The New Batman Adventures (Holiday Knights)
  • Batgirl Adventures #1 (1998)
  • Gotham Girls #1-5 (2002-2003)
  • Batman: Harley and Ivy (2014) i have this as only one book but i think you can also find them as three separate issues. It includes The Bet, Harley and Ivy: Love on The Lam, and Batman: Harley and Ivy
  • Batman Adventures Annual #1 (1994) ok they barely appear but there are two cute panels that i love w all my being so yeah

I've never really heard of Harper row and have 0 clue how she came into play in the batfam. Would you explain? If you could?

Hello my friend and welcome to one of the coolest characters in batfam.

Harper Row

image

So Harper, superhero name Bluebird. She first met Batman when he saved her brother Cullen from being beaten up for being gay. And as is the history with these things she was like that dude is awesome and continued to annoy him by following him around the city. But Bruce is being a dick (he’s grieving over Damian), so Harper approaches Bruce in civilian form, not knowing he’s Batman, with plans she thinks will help him. Bruce realizes that this kid has stuff and he sees how she treats him, she knows he’s in pain, so he approaches her as Batman. And apologizes. Then she is all badass and saves his life by restarting his heart with jumper cables.

image

She earns Tim Drake’s trust after she stows away on his plane, and they have some adventures. Timmy tries to play the hero role and keep her safe but she quickly shows him that’s not what she’s all about. Cassandra Cain and Harper have a complicated relationship, but it’s a good one.

The best part tho is DC did something right (for once) and confirmed Harper as bisexual! As in they let her say the words.

This is so beautiful. Gets the hell gothamites must face every day, the threat the villains in the city represent and the hope Batman gives perfectly

I thought this was a good time to bring this back

I like this Tailor much more than the one I made up for Gotham.

I hate when comicbook fans gate-keep by running you through a fact-check quiz. Even if you’ve ready every comic you’re going to be wrong. Why? Because comics can’t even keep their shit together. Bruce’s parents were either killed outside of Mask of Zorro or an opera, their killer is either unknown or Joe Chill, he started as Batman at either 21, 26, 28 or 32. Barry has died six separate times and during several of his absences both Bart and Wally have been the Flash at the same time. Steve has given up Captain America due to anything from a minor cold, dying, wanting to retire and straight up disappearing. God forbid you ask how Tony got his heart.

The only thing we know for certain is that Uncle Ben died and it is always, always, always Superman’s fault that Lex no longer has hair
