Go back to the very beginning I’ve been thinking about Glass Animals’ music video for Agnes, the haunting visuals and the story behind the lyrics. Couldn’t help myself but paint this. Is it stylistically consistent with what I normally do? Perhaps not but when have I ever been consistent huh

Your block is full of college students and so, like most Friday nights, you pass a pretty big house party that’s still blasting music despite seemingly most of the partygoers trickling out by now.

My latest piece is based on the Glass Animals song “Agnes,” showing a physical representation of what heartbreak feels like. The piece itself has no correct orientation representing how it feels when your body becomes numb and goes into survival mode. Nothing feels right, the world is upside down and chaotic. The figures slowly fall deeper and deeper into the insanity of the background.
