Sacha is a bold boy who would easily be the leader of the team if there was a leader ! He is always motivated (except when he's too hungry) and never gives up, he uses of all his force to carry through each of the Daybreaks mission. According to Heassan, he's the one of the group who controls his powers the best and most quickly, which makes him the strongest "part" of the team. He's determined and can always encourage his group when they lose hope.
At a very young age, he met Sarha and quickly became his best friend. He'll teach her how to never give up - and gives Sarha her motto "Makenai" (Never give up). When they meet the Daybreaks, Sacha makes it his responsability to bring Sarha (and himself) back home. He's very protective with her.
Tai also have the abilities of a leader, which makes him and Sacha a bit "rivals" when it comes to decisions for the group. They often have opposite points of views. They'll soon realize they have more in common than they have differences, and become good friends.
Sacha has lots of respect for Link, who is the other strongest part of the team. He think of him as a wise person and listen to his advices.
He also listen to Izzy a lot. He's the first to really give him the credits he deserves for being the smartest part of the team XD
Sacha controls Thunder, a very powerful element that Sacha masters very fastly, and uses with strength. Without his element, he fights using his fists mostly.

If I’d to pick one word to describe the role played by Tai in his team, it would be « energy »... and fun, but that'd be two words. Because Tai is lot of energy at any time in any place with anybody. He always has a smile, a laugh, a good (or bad) pun. He always gesticulates. He seems to never be serious. That’s why, Tai is an attractive character, but also in some cases a disturbing character.
To know better Tai, we’ve to say first of all, that Tai is an impulsive and full-of-life teenager, who has a little sister, and who tries to take care of her, because she is very precious for him (he is very protective), and that’s an important point: he is responsible for her. As hobby, Tai likes football, and practices this sport very often.
Tai always takes everything with a smile, even when their adventure begins. Instead of being scared, he feels like a chosen one, a hero. The first person he'll met is Sacha, who is not amused by the situation (with reasons). They'll have to team up together while they disagree on everything.
Tai will soon become Sarha's friend, they both share a sense of humor and an energy. They friendly "fight" as much as they joke. And that tends to get on Link's nerves, who believes Tai has no sense of responsability. Tai does, in fact, since that time he risked his little sister's life because he wanted to play football. But he tends to hide it under smiles and jokes.
Izzy and Tai don't understand each other until very late in the story..
Tai's power is Ice. He can freeze things, build ice walls, or send iced "blades". It's the element they often use to defend themselves, but it's also good on attack. Sarha and Tai can do element combos together because of their good friendship. When he doesn't use his element, Tai fights using his legs/feet mostly.

Particularities : She's sometimes very energic and crazy, and sometimes really sweet. Don't like jokes about her hair XD or her name ! And hates spiders.

Sarha can be seen as the "mediator" of the group. Even if she is a little bit "crazy" sometimes, she really is a wise girl who takes time to think before doing something (more or less). Sarha always comes up with good ideas. She's sensitive and understanding, and she can easily talk to anyone, and make them trust her quickly. She is sportive and full of energy, and loves to run.
When she was very young, Sarha lived alone with her father, so when he had to work, he used to leave her with Hanako, Sacha's mother. At first she was shy and wouldn't say a word. But when she got lost in the snow one day, Sacha helped her and told her to never give up, something she always remembers, making it her motto : "Makenai". It's for him that she became strong.
When they meet the team, Sarha quickly become friend with Tai, even if they "fight" a lot about silly things. He calls her "Hime-sama" (Princess) and it gets on her nerves (even if at some point, she would miss it if he stopped).
Sarha is a bit protective with Izzy, and always listen to his advices. She doesn't get along with Dizzi at all though.
Link doesn't think Sarha can take care of herself, and she doesn't like that, she feels the need to prove him what she's capable of. Like Tai, Sarha tends to get on Link's nerves when she's too loud.
Sarha's element is Fire. She uses it quite well, and is a good attacker. When she's not using her element, she fights using her legs mostly, she has a very good agility. But then again, she can hardly defend herself and she's weak when she's touched.

Particularities : Likes computers. Not a very good fighter but the "head/brain" of the team.

Izzy is the little genius of the team, in addition to his speaking computer (talking a little too much...), he has a great knowledge and also a great intelligence. Izzy likes to learn, and he always has theories in his pockets. When the team is wedged, he can almost always find the key. But, with large brain little force, Izzy is really not gifted when he has to fight. I would even say that he is a little awkward and will always fall when he should not ! However, he is voluntary and tries to fight like his friends and teamates.
Tai always lived in the same city, and even in the same school as him, in Odaiba, but he never noticed him. At the beginning, he couldn't remember his name. They don't have much in common. Izzy prefers his desk and his algorithms and Tai would rather being outside and do sports. Izzy will become closer to Tai after the battle against Kin, when Tai is devastated after seeing his friends "die".
In the team, this is with Link that Izzy gets along the best. Link respects him a lot and is always thankful to him for being such a good help. At some point, Izzy will even try to learn him how to use a computer, which is something that Link has never seen before. They both learn from each other.
Sacha is also very thankful to Izzy and they're good friends. Sacha often come to Izzy to talk when he needs wise advices or help. They become confidents.
Sarha is protective with Izzy, especially in their fights. She listen to him, but he also listen to her, for Sarha and Izzy are the ones coming up with the good plans most of the time.
Izzy does not have much confidence in himself and he is shy, but his friends do all they can to help him feel better.
But Izzy's best friend might be Dizzi, the spirit of a girl trapped in his computer. Or maybe is she just a program. Who knows ? Anyway, they're best buddies.
With his brilliant plans, his theories, his answers to everything and his strategic mind, maybe HE is the real leader of the team.
Izzy's element is the Wind. Most of the time, he's defensive, and push back ennemies. Legend says he could learn to fly. He could also use his element for more offensive attacks but he never really practices. In the battle, Izzy is most of the time behind, his computer open, to help his friends with strategies and informations on their ennemy.

Particularities : Like to sleep. He's a bit "lone wolf" and prefer to fight with his sword than his powers.

Link doesn't talk a lot. He used to live alone and only had a couple of friends, Saria, and Fado. Everything he does is to protect them. He might have feelings for Saria ;)
Anyway, Link is clever, brave, strong but he is used to live and fight alone. The main rule in Daybreak is to have a “team spirit”. All problems, all questions can only be solved with the whole team. And that’s a big dilemma for Link: when the adventure begins, he has no faith in his team, he thinks he has to protect them. But without faith in his team, he is an obstacle for it.
Since he met the Daybreaks, he feels like he can constantly protect them and so, he can't really defeat Kin and bring everyone back in their worlds. At some point, he decides to leave the team and be alone. It's only when he realizes that he needs them and they need him that his true power will be revealed.
Mostly, when Link talk to Tai, it's to say "SHUT UP !". Tai gets on Link's nerves, they have opposite personalities. Even if they like each other, Link tends to think Tai is way too immature and loud.
He also think Sarha is immature and loud, but he also feels the need to protect her because, y'know, she's a girl. And Link is used to protect girls.
Link get along pretty well with Izzy, who is not loud, and always have interesting things to say.
The thing that makes Sacha and Link good friend is that they are both very determined on bringing back the peace between worlds.
Link's element is Earth, which is the strongest element of all. But Link rarely ever use it. He would rather use his sword. When he realize how important his team is, his sword changes into a magical one.
