Avalon and Anaël

They are Khadgar and Peregrïn’s kids, they’re twins, and Avalon is Horde, Anaël is Alliance. That of course doesn’t make them love each other less !  They are like... a symbol of what their parents believe in, a peace between the two factions.

You can call Avalon ‘Ava’ but you can’t call Anaël ‘Ana’ (I mean you can. You should.)

Alan + Sarha The Fire Siblings !

In Daybreak, Sarha has fire powers. It seems to fit that her big brother Alan would get blue fire, since in Pokémon he has a Mega Charizard X with blue fire. For some reason I drew them in their Alola outfits.. xD

I wanted to draw a cuuuuute picture of Sarha and Alan for Christmas >v< And I was happy with this but suddenly I thought they looked too much like a couple and not enough like siblings xDD But but I still like their faces and all sooo... unfinished sketch >///< sorry !

My big brother is my hero ♥

For Halloween we should dress up as grown up Dipper and Mabel, I say.

I really don't want to stop drawing/seeing them~

I know it’s just a quick sketch but I felt like sharing about them anyway !

Alan and Sarha, brother and sister. This is their story :

Alan and Sarha’s father is from Kanto (kind of a Japanese part of the Pokéworld right ?) and their mother is from Kalos (French part). They have mixed origins, which makes sense for Sarha because when I created her 16 years ago, I decided she’d be half Japanese, half French (cause I am French, and being Japanese with blue eyes didn’t seem possible xD)

Their mother works in a Pokemon Center as a Nurse. And I remembered this artwork by Ken Sugimori of a Nurse... doesn’t she look like she could be their mom ?? She does to me. (she was obviously younger then though haha)

For reasons I STILL need to discover, Alan grew up with their mother, in Kalos, and Sarha grew up with their father, in Kanto.

Alan remembered Sarha but Sarha was too young when she last saw him. She felt like something was missing for a good time but she ended up forgetting him. Hey, don’t blame her, she was probably... 3 years old the last time she saw him. 

Fun fact though, when she arrived in Masara Town (or Pallet Town) she was a shy and awkward girl who didn’t want to make new friends. Sacha (Satoshi) insisted until she let him in her life and they became best friends. This was her story for a long time now but I think maybe she was scared of getting close to someone because she lost her brother ? See, things take more sense even years after making them up. Anyway, with Sacha, she grew up to be a strong, cheerful, brave young girl, and she doesn’t even remember she’s been sad before.

As for Alan, as I see it, he grew up with a missing piece, or two. He found a father figure in the Professor Sycamore. Being with him brought him joy. I’m not the only one who noticed how happier he seemed to be when he was his assistant, right ? To me it means family is important for Alan, yet he feels like his family is broken.

Eventually, when Sarha was visiting Kalos, she and Alan found each other again. He remembered her but she didn’t. When she learned who he was, Sarha went through a lot of different feelings, one of them being anger. She had a life, a family, and she didn’t feel like she needed him. She rejected him, told him she didn’t care, but she did care, and when he took risks she realized she had just found him and didn’t want to lose him again. She remembered being close to her brother as a young kid.

And now all I want for them is to travel together (with Sacha, of course !) and be a family <3

Another part of the story is them constantly arguing in front of a helpless Sacha. And Cresselia heard them and gave them a dream where they saw what their life would’ve been if they grew up together. It felt so real that I like to think they have two childhoods in their memories now. Sarha woke up from this dream realizing what they missed and broke down in tears, and Alan comforted her (legend says Sacha was really touched too :’’) )

Aaand that’s it ! If you’ve read it all, well, thank you !

Important : it’s not Alan’s official story but hey, it is for me ! Sarha has been created in 1999, like 13 years before Alan existed ! She was not made to be his sister, which makes it even more special to me, like they REALLY found each other after all this time. Sarha existed since a long time when I first saw Alan and I was like “... they look related don’t they ??” but waited to be sure. It’s not just because they look alike, it’s because I “felt” it. ALSO ! The anime MAY contradict my story in the future ! It’s possible, we’ll see !
