You know what? I’m tired of fanfics where Levi hates Zeke for killing Erwin specifically because he didn’t even do that. Sure, Zeke lethally injured Erwin but there was still a chance to save him, and who had that miraculous cure in his hand? Levi. And HE chose not to save Erwin. Levi pulled the plug. Levi could have saved Erwin but he didn’t, he decided the best choice was to save someone else. He saw Erwin dying and decided it was best to let his life come to an end. And how do we call the act of intentionally ending someone’s life to relieve their pain and suffering? Euthanasia. He doesn’t hate Zeke for killing Erwin, he hates him because he understands him too well and that fucking sucks. That and all the other deaths, but not Erwin’s.

yes!!!!! genuinely I will defend her until the day I die. the fact that her parallels to eren are so overlooked in “favour” of actions in liberio is insane to me. it’s devastating what she did, nobody is disputing that ever. sasha was a fantastic character and it was gut-wrenching when she died, but like you say, gabi is not the first person in the series to have killed a main character. reiner killed marco. zeke killed erwin (and the rest of the scouts). the warriors/marley killed ymir. I could go on and on!!!! gabi was a child and I think that if you can’t separate your devastation for what she did from that fact then honestly skill issue. gabi truther for life and I will fight anyone who says otherwise WITH RESPECT !!!!!!

Might I jump in here and add that anyone who has ever changed their mind about something should have at least an ounce of empathy for Gabi.

I don’t blog about Gabi a lot, but she is a special character to me. I grew up in a very conservative, evangelical family. I believed and said some wild, hateful shit that my family and church taught me. Most of this was when I was under the age of 20.

Like Gabi, I underwent a ✨character transformation✨ once I made friends with and learned about people who were different than me, people I was taught to hate. Granted I’m ashamed of those things I said and believed in, *and* I also think it would be wildly unfair for anyone to give a harsh judgement on me as a little brainwashed high school kid. Do I still have to live with the harmful things I said? Absolutely. Just like Gabi.

People learn. People change. People grow. Gabi did all of those things, and so have many of us.
