The artists view an eclipse of the sun on the roof of the DIA in Aug. 1932. The women on the far left is assistant Lucienne Bloch and the man next to her is assistant Arthur Niendorf. Kahlo was so taken by the dual imagery of the sun and moon that she began to use it in her art.
