Whenever I don’t feel good

I always go back to Disney movies to cheer me up. 

So right now I’m watching Mulan. 

Guess who just watched Motocrossed!

I LOVE this movie. It was my fav as a kid, and watching it as an adult I think it holds up really well actually. I love this movie because you know fucking cool ass Motor bikes. Andy is a fucking bad ass who smokes the boys in their own sport. She does everything legally because she never says she’s Andrew. She says she’s Andy. It’s not her fault that people infer what they want to from that. 

But my favorite part of this movie is the fact that Dean is totally falling for “Andy” thinking that she is a boy. No. He is. He winks at her. He playfully pushes her and splashes her. The way he looks at her. And then when he meets “Andrea” he looks at her the same way. So if he’s interested in Andrea and stares at her that way, he was totally interested in Andy the same way. It’s a Shang and Mulan thing all over again. The homoeroticism in this movie is wonderful. I mean, good thing Andy turned out to be a boy right? So nobody had to question the way of things right? In all seriousness though. I love this movie. 

Not gonna lie. I fucking love the trope of someone falling in love with someone thinking they’re someone else and then learning the truth. (Also is it like required that everyone named Dean do blue steel when someone takes their picture?)
