So this is based on canon banter between Lae'zel and Gale where she informs him he talks in his sleep and that his partner doesn't get much rest because of it. So ofc Astarion has to deal with it. He's a bit strange that he likes to watch the wizard sleep and while Gale mutters about previous speeches he made as Archmage and random chatter, he also tries to cast spells. Unfortunately for him, Astarion is a bit smooth brained and doesn't realise some spells need more than just words to be conjured properly.

It's interesting to discover the reasons behind people's favourite characters. Often, these reasons are not what others might expect. When we dislike a character, it can be difficult to understand why they are popular.

I will start by saying my favourite character is Gale (no surprise to anyone who follows me). I relate to him in many ways, but he also ticks most boxes for what I look for in an ideal partner. I also found his storyline endearing.
