The Team(™) knows how to Make An Entrance.
It’s very important that you communicate with your Padawan at his eye level
For the fourth drawing prompt with my friends, “waiting”! I’m still riding the Star Wars wave, so for this prompt I imagined a Jedi master and padawan (probably a young Obi-Wan and Anakin) waiting in a spaceport near a fussy baby. The master is all calm and meditating, and the padawan loses his grip on serenity every time he hears the baby wail. It’s an exercise in patience and compassion (and if you’ve ever been on a long flight sitting near a mother and child, you know what I’m talking about).
Reblogging from the drawing space I share with my friends!

The thing about Star Wars is that it's all about cycles. Geoge Lucas highlighted it when he said "it's like poetry, it rhymes". It exists on a micro and macro scale and it often gets Star Wars accused of lazy fan service (and yes, there is some of that to be sure) but when Star Wars gets it right it really gets it right.
You see it so clearly with Anakin and Obi-Wan.
They're represented by the Open Circle, a loop with two ends constantly reaching for each other. Two halves of a single warrior, as the ROTS novelization made famous.
That moment in the fight, when they used their connected hands to push and pull, it wasn't just a fight tactic, it was a metaphorical representation of Anakin trying to pull away and Obi-Wan still trying to reach out, one last time. It's their bond in the Force, which has highly implied by the series to be a dyad.
Circles are representative of unity and the whole. They were known as The Team, a dynamic fighting force. They move as one, a call and an answer. Where you find Kenobi, Skywalker is not far behind. They were shown to experience the same pain, showing implied dyad levels of oneness in the Force. Not only are they constantly reaching, but they also form a closed unit, a circuit through which they feel one another from across the galaxy. They are an orbit around each other, a binary system of two stars like those in Tatooine's sky.
But there is also discord. They do not talk to each other, not on an intimate level. The few times Obi-Wan reaches out to Anakin, Anakin rejects the emotional support. Their circle, no matter how close, has a broken circuit. It is why Obi-Wan, ultimately, is not the one who saves Darth Vader, it is Luke. Anakin cannot accept the love and support of someone who knew him from before.
Finally, circles are also a metaphor for give and take. Obi-Wan trained Anakin, teaching him everything he knew but in turn, he learns from his training of Anakin. Anyone who has been a teacher or an instructor knows, that you learn just as much from your students as you did from your own education.
But it is a broken circle, an open one, because Anakin does not listen, does not internalize Obi-Wan's lessons.
Which makes Anakin's absolving Obi-Wan's guilt at the end so poignant. It's more emotional awareness than we've seen from him in the series. And what is so crucial about this moment is that Obi-Wan responds in kind, though not right away. Obi-Wan leaves that fight, leaves their bond, and accepts that Anakin is dead and he did not kill his friend. He is free of the cycle, slipping through the open circle they represent.
But when Anakin truly does die, in RotJ, Obi-Wan absolves Anakin of his guilt and reunites with him in the Force. And the circle, their circle, which has been broken for so long, two halves constantly reaching... becomes whole.

👉“ you kissed me first. “ “ i definitely didn’t. “ “ you were literally all over me. “ 👈
Hi Anon! Sorry this took me a bit, I've been struggling with coming up with AUs for these prompts
Anyways, I finally figured it out so, from this kiss prompt list
I remembered I had a Little Italy (the romcom Hayden did) AU with obikin and decided to go with that. So childhood friends that are in love, this would be the low point of the couple after a steamy night together.
“You kissed me first.” “ I definitely didn’t.” “You were literally all over me.”
Anakin moaned as he was pressed hard against one of the ship walls, his legs tight around Obi-Wan’s waist. His moan was quickly swallowed by Obi-Wan’s mouth. The man seemed almost possessed, his kisses intense leaving Anakin’s neck red, his lips swollen and his breath short.
“What’s got into you?” He managed to ask. Obi-Wan didn’t really answer, instead trying to keep marking Anakin’s neck. Anakin finally managed to pull back enough to catch his breath and keep Obi-Wan at bay.
“Darling, just let me kiss you, we can talk later.” Obi-Wan huffed and tried to push against Anakin’s grip on his hair. “We need to be quick before I have to leave for work.”
Anakin finally loosened his hold on Obi-Wan and the man surged against his neck, biting marks all over the skin. “Have you told your father yet?” He gasped and the kissing stopped. Obi-Wan pulled back and threw him an annoyed look.
“Are you really talking about my father now?” He asked, finally letting Anakin down and pulling back to look for his clothes. “It’s not like he needs to know about this.”
Anakin rolled his eyes and cocked one of his hips out, enjoying how Obi-Wan’s eyes couldn’t help but wander over his naked body. “Yes, he does, especially if we’re planning to continue this… You want to continue this, right?”
“Of course I do, Anakin. I just don’t see why our families knowing is important right now.” Obi-wan buttoned up his pants and grabbed a shirt. “It won’t change things, if anything it could ruin it.”
Anakin frowned. “So you’re not gonna say anything? Let everything stay as it is? I thought…”
“What would be the point, anyways? You’ll soon leave, return to your fancy job and forget about this place again.” Obi-Wan was fully clothed now, and Anakin felt, for the first time in the morning, overly exposed. “No sense in shaking things up if it’s not gonna last.”
Tears sprung to Anakin’s eyes and he tried his best not to let them drop. “You kissed me first.” He argued, taking a step forward. Obi-Wan paused and turned around.
“I definitely didn’t, you kissed me first.” He snapped. Anakin shook his head, taking another step.
“You were literally all over me.” He insisted. “You said… You said you lov–” He never got to finish the sentence. Obi-Wan cut him with a harsh kiss, taking his breath away once again.
“It doesn’t matter. Things won’t change.” Obi-Wan said softly and pulled back. “You can leave the keys to Quinlan when you go home.”

Prompt: what if we buy more cushions? Fandom: Star Wars. Characters: Anakin/Obi-Wan. Words: 365. Rating: G. SFW. A/N: A post-Anidala snippet where Obikin are taking care of the twins. I don't think its canon-verse, but there are nexu, and have no idea what happened to Padmé. She might just be at work and this could be obianidala.
"What if we buy more cushions?" Obi-Wan asked.
Anakin looked up from the precarious construction of pillows and blankets spanning from the couch to the wing-back chair, blinking. Leia was drooling on a decorative cushion, her braids half-undone, knackered from a satisfying afternoon. Luke was drowsy on Anakin's shoulders, eyelids fluttering as his father balanced him, trying to keep him from slipping off. His hands were quiet beneath Leia's chin, trying to adjust her without waking her.
"She can't sleep here," Anakin said, his voice a soft rumble.
Obi-Wan frowned, disagreeing, but not willing to argue.
"Besides," Anakin whispered, clasping Luke to his back as he stood, "they'll only destroy them." He turned his head to silently regard the shattered statuette Padmé had gifted Obi-Wan after they'd first met. "I'll fix that later," he said, guility.
"If you have time, dear one." Obi-Wan rubbed hand across Luke's back, hearing the gentle snoring sounds as he dozed off again. "I won't leave Leia."
Anakin twitched a grateful smile, but there was still tightness around his eyes as he left. Turning back to the pillow-fort, Obi-Wan just stood watching Leia from a few paces away, recalling how only a few minutes ago as he'd gone to make a pot of tea for himself and Anakin, she'd been full righteous fury defending her castle from a swarm of nexu. How quickly their energy waxed and waned. Despite caring for children when he'd been younger, there was so much he didn't know.
Sliding a hand across Obi-Wan's back, Anakin sighed before wriggling the mug out of Obi-Wan's hand and taking a slow and steady sip from the cup. He just stood beside Obi-Wan for a moment, probably watching the deep rise and fall of Leia's chest as she slept.
"Cushions are replaceable, Ani."
A huff was all he got in reply. "I'm taking Her Highness to bed," he said. "Please pour me a cup and I'll meet you in the fort." He cradled Leia carefully in his arms and Obi-Wan felt his heart swell as he carried the little girl out as well.
He did as he was asked. He poured the tea. He didn't have to wait long.
