I usually draw Anakin and Obi-Wan in post-rotj au already dating, but in fact they spend a lot of time... Not dating. Obi-Wan recognised that he is in love with Anakin first but didn't make a move, because he thought it was a bad idea to date Anakin. He wasn't sure if any of them can handle it (well, he was sure it will fuck them up, he wasn't normal about Anakin even when they were just friends, sex wouldn't improve the situation). Anakin was so out of tune with his feelings that he wasn't able to recognise his very non-platonic feelings for Obi-Wan. Especially since his feelings for Obi-Wan were completely different from his feelings for Padme. He was like "Yes, I find Obi-Wan very attractive, but everyone who has eyes finds him attractive. Yes, he is the only person (aside from my dead wife) I can even theoretically imagine in my bed. That doesn't mean anything. We are just former bros with complicated relationship".

And I love that

There are many languages of love and one of the is "I hope you are just joking about dying" (in a very irritated and a bit concerned voice).

(But also the fact that Obi-Wan was returned from dead by the Force gave Anakin a lot of weird ideas...)
