In the Jurassic au Phoenix is a zoology student studying under Mia Fey (top of the field) who was asked to come for an interview at Jurassic Park owned and operated by the von Karma family. Phoenix begs her to take the interview because it’s his only chance at connecting with Miles Edgeworth - world’s top geneticist and his childhood friend that met during their parents paleontology dig.

Mia agrees so long as Phoenix and Maya can come. For some reason they approve her request (man chief if they’re that desperate you should ask for 20k more)and all three are welcomed to the Island. Franziska Von Karma, who runs the park briefly introduces herself before handing them off to Lana Skye. An old colleague of Mia’s with Nothing bad to say about the park or team.

Mia’s scheduled interview gets delayed. “What did one of the Dinos escape?” Maya jokes. Lana tells her they don’t Ever say that. Sets them loose in the park to have fun.

Maya wants to go on an overpower dino themed Tea Cups ride. The line is at Least ten minutes and honestly neither Wright nor Mia want to ride it with her. A grey haired man wearing an absurdly oversized explorer hat and three oversized plush dinos nervously approaches them. Offers to let them use his fast pass if Maya will take Pearl on it for him. He’s getting sick just watching it.

Maya and Pearl are screaming from the machine. Mia’s mildly concerned at how fast those things spin. Phoenix is trying to engage the man in conversation but he seems increasingly confused. He’s sweat through his long sleeve button up. Mia gets him a cold coke and they move him to the shade. Phoenix debates buying a short sleeve shirt for him to change into.

He suggests to Pearl they should head back soon. She Does NOT want to. Grabs the bench with her hands and shakes her head. Phoenix is pretty sure this guy is like twenty minutes from heat stroke. “Why don’t we all go to the indoor exhibit? Its air conditioned and we can all cool off.” Pearl relaxes. Releases the bench. It… was always that shape, right?

Before he can respond the Heir to the Von Karma throne rolls up. Full security detail behind her. “What do you think your doing Miles Edgeworth?! You can not just leave the lab! Do you have Any idea how worried Papa and I were?! Get in the car. I do not have time to chase you down across the park!”

“Why? Its not like there’s a new exhibit coming up.”

“Get. In. The. Car.”

“… Come along Pearl. We’ll finish our tour of the park at a later date.”

“… Happy now Phoenix? You got to see your famous Geneticist.”

“Did that seem weird to you chief?”

“Yeah. Yeah it did.”

“Hey guys?” Maya pipped up. Raised the bracelet Miles had given her to go in the fast lane. “Do you think i need to return this? Or can we keep using the fast pass All day?”

They stare after the cars disappearing down the back roads. “I think we should save that for later Maya. We might need it.”
