strangely specific marauders headcanons

James Potter

early bird
the only time he’s ever slept past 7 o’clock was on New Year’s Day when he managed to sleep until 2pm
absolutely despises tight clothes and refuses to wear anything other than sweatpants
loves muggle movies, as his dad loves the cinema and takes him to see a film every week they’re together
exclusively drinks water and hot chocolate, because let’s be honest, james potter + caffeine = an insurmountable amount of energy which would inevitably lead to an earthquake
drank coffee once in fourth year
McGonagall has since erased her memories from that day
when Harry was born, he cried more than Harry did
was absolutely not allowed to contribute in the naming of Harry because “we are NOT calling our child Bartholomew, James!!”
never has a quill but will always return whatever he’s borrowed
always does his homework the day it’s set because he’s secretly a nerd

Sirius Black

in winter, he wears Remus’s jumpers, but forces his leather jacket over the top of them because “Punk Rock doesn’t hibernate, James.”
absolutely no concept of personal space whatsoever and will sit on you if you don’t object
when he left home and got a job, the first thing he bought with his salary was an electric guitar which he charmed to sound like a duck

was the one to come up with Moony for Remus’s nickname
never knows there’s homework but still manages to do it anyway
found a snail in fourth year and kept is as a pet for a year
also wanted to call Harry “Bartholomew”

Remus Lupin

pulls on the ends of his sleeves
meticulously plans all of their pranks and always has an escape route in mind
never cuts his hair; when it’s long enough that it gets in his eyes he just vanishes it
was average height up until around fifth year and over the summer he completely shot up, and he was six foot three by the end of sixth year
tea
so much tea
only does the homework for subjects he likes
sleeps for SO long
once slept for 24 hours
has a scar trailing from one corner of his mouth down towards his chin
Sirius says it looks like he’s always frowning

Peter Pettigrew

absolutely despises chairs and will sit on the floor at any given opportunity
was the one who came up with the marauders nicknames, besides Remus’s
had a phase in fifth year when he dyed his hair a ton of crazy colours before deciding blue wasn’t really his style
loves herbology, hates transfiguration
after leaving school, he started watching kids shows and now loves Teen Titans Go!
refuses to watch Teen Titans, he only likes the kids one
no, i don’t know what timeline this is following anymore
gets drunk off one shot
has the neatest living area in their dorm
