Since it's been a few days since "Mission: Antarctica" came out, someone may have already posted this thought, but here I go anyway. While Moxxie's tongue action was likely very pleasing to the Asmodean crystal, maybe the real reason/final bit to it actually working was that we've got Blitz blushing here, so he's clearly feeling some lustful/pleasurable stuff at the moment, which may have been enough to "charge" or activate it.

Blitz was able to get it to work in "Apology Tour" by simply rubbing it then, but he still was holding out hope of winning Stolas back (which included bedroom fun time ;) ) in that episode as well as wasn't in as emotionally devastated of a state with no self-confidence and feeling guilt-ridden. ;_;

While in "Mission: Antarctica," he's definitely seems to be dealing with the aftermath of "Apology Tour," having all those negative emotions along with it being an anxiety-fueled environment that only gets worse the longer he can't get the crystal to work, which included rubbing it like he did before. :/

So, I'm willing to bet the crystals are a two-prong thing of providing gentle/pleasurable action to it (which may vary based on the crystal) and having some sort of happy/lustful drive in order to fully activate it. :)

Of course, there's still the matter of if the crystals can be worked by anyone under the right circumstances or if they only work for the demon it's registered under. I fear it's the former as there is the case with Barbie Wire:

For one thing, I think this proves that the crystals are temperamental/activate differently depending on the crystal since she just had to tap it in order to create a portal, so unless just any touch works on them, each crystal may have it's own preference; secondly, her having one for this drug operations feels pretty illegal and that this was just given to her by the person running the pharmacy. My reasoning is sure, I can see Fizz trying to help Barbie Wire once she's out of rehab by getting her a job, but she'd still have to get it from Ozzie (who he would definitely know about thanks to Fizz and tell him about seeing her if this wasn't a favor) and given that she literally was in rehab for drugs, I don't think Fizz would want her to be around that environment (just like Blitz ;) ), even if heroin is supposed to be a weak drug to demons. :/ So, at the moment I'm leaning towards the crystals can work for anyone under the right conditions, but there's always the case that it's just an inconsistency between episodes/shorts. :/

We'll just have to wait and see now if we get more crystal lore in the future to learn if all this is true or not. ;)
