LOL THAT WAS BASICALLY MY REACTION WHEN I SAW YOU POSTING ABOUT IT! I've been following Silt Verses since a few eps into season one and just. MMM! I love me some folk horror, and the way TSV gradually pulls back to reveal just how deep the rot of exploitation, dehumanization, and fucked up body horror saints goes is really well executed. Easily the podcast I have been MOST annoying about trying to get people to listen to for the last couple years.

Carpenter is my precious meow meow. I love how haggard and snarky and wise and stupid she is. (Also Maebh Brun's voice is just so good augh)

that house + wilson scene inverted for vash/nick/meryl. nick and meryl start fucking around and vash gets uncharacteristically jealous and tries to figure out why wolfwood wants to fuck meryl and you know, he's observant but he's STUPID. he's like "why do you like her..... just because she's full of goodness and determination and she doesn't hesitate to square up when she sees someone doing something wrong... ?oh i love her so much too <3" and wolfwood is giving him this Look and vash is like What and wolfwood just stares at him and lights a cigarette and puts it in his mouth, very purposefully. vash pouts for the rest of the day

theyre both terrified of hurting him bc vash has 2 stable friendships in his life and the fact that both of those people fell in love w him and desire him carnally now feels Wrong to both nicholas "catholic guilt" wolfwood and meryl "i will claw my way up to an ethical code from scratch" stryfe. who are both in love with vash and are commiserating w each other about it through 1. copious amounts of sex 2. wolfwood teaching meryl to shoot 3. getting weirdly codependent with each other over the work of taking care of vash. hes the love of their life and they have to watch him all the time like a fragile houseplant in case he keels over and dies. this takes place in my personal post season 1 fantasy where vash doesnt remember july and reacts to the trauma without knowing what caused it and also theyre on a road trip away from This Bullshit
