#gore#deer#sculpture#one of the weird things about living in an urban environment again for the last decade#is that the deer people hit get cleaned up real quick#so there's nowhere that I really see corpses slowly decomposing anymore#which was something I saw a lot as a teen#IDK looking at this had me thinkimg about all the decomposing deer I've seen in my life#and mentally critiquing the accuracy and comparing the depiction to the artist's intent#and all of a sudden I realized I hadn't looked at an animal in this state of rot-yet-unbroken in a long time#huh#life is weird like that
