ART/FIC ROUNDUP🎉🎉🎉
Over the last five months I've had the extreme pleasure to work with a group of of talented, delightful, hardworking creators on what is now known as the Tales of the Kingdom collab. The idea was to take each of the newly introduced Ancient Sages from LoZ:TotK and give them life in the form of storybooks.
My thanks to the following artist/writer mix of contributors:

Perhaps she would soon see her brother once again…or maybe everything was just a nightmare in her mind. Or, maybe it was even a dream. One can never know with Mineru.

Rudania squared his shoulders and looked up at the sky, the stars twinkling outside of his hut. "I miss my old life sometimes, the carefree nature of merchantry, but I know that I have another purpose now. I will serve my people until the magma within me cools, and then I will join the ancestors above to guide the next Chieftain's flames."

Her father had given her that spear. He had forged it himself, spent days and days agonizing over the fine silver, sharpening it to a cutting point. He had told her that it would be her weapon as princess and that she would find another one to wield as queen one day, whether it was the Sword of Mikau or another weapon that she would create her own legend with.
Now here it was, cannibalized to save the Lightscale Crown.

Staring out at the sun as it dipped below the horizon, an idea came to her. While her brother might be the ruler of the living, she was the ruler of the dead, and in their disembodied state, it was well known that time did not work the same for them. She had grown up hearing stories of priestesses who received visions of the future from their ancestors — would hers answer if she asked them what to do?

The Light Dragon flew around above the Rist Peninsula. She knew this place, she knew this Hyrule had been her Hyrule so many years ago and yet here she was again. She remembered so much of it and still she could not quite remember why.

As she watched him walk away, she noticed him turn back and give a small wave, a gesture that she returned. And soon, he was out of sight and the parade ended. Her parents and siblings were talking amongst each other, but all she could think of was the funny Zonai that had captured her. Not love at first sight, but truly seeming to be a person that she could call her friend. That was someone she wanted to meet so desperately, but she thought deeply: she was the daughter of some random farmer; there was no way that they could ever be friends.

“When I walk… you’ll walk too. It’ll be all right because we’re together.”
Transgender ship now goes by he/him, reports say
You are possibly correct, Wes. The most famous example is the Imperator trio of ocean liners claimed during and after World War I; Imperator, Vaterland, and Bismarck (Not the World War II battleship). Vaterland and Bismarck were renamed Leviathan and Majestic. It is, however, worth noting that Majestic never sailed as Bismarck, being incomplete when she was ceded. Imperator is the most notable example. Imperator directly translates as “Emperor” and is a masculine word in both English and German. She was then renamed to Berengaria, a queen and thus a feminine reference. However, there is ongoing debate amongst The Boat People as to whether or not the trio were ever legitimately referred to by masculine pronouns. Most of the claims that they were come to us from apocryphal sources or “Source? I made it the fuck up!” sources, so not exactly reliable. For actually gender-bendy ship pronouns, we have to turn to the French and their beloved Normandie. At the time, French civilians typically referred to ships as male, sailors referred to ships by whatever gender the word of the ship’s name was, and English travelers aboard them went with female as was their norm. To prevent confusion with their new flagship, the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique took away Normandie’s gender, so it was just “Normandie”.
