David Weisman, an Army veteran who abandoned his support of Trump over a year ago, published his thoughts via his blog on The Times Of Israel on Wednesday.
Referring to Trump as an "unpatriotic president" Weisman said that "real veterans who remember their oath will support impeachment." Wednesday marks the first public impeachment hearings for the president as Democrats push forward with their investigation on if Trump used his office for a personal favor during a July 25 phone call with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskiy.
The Army veteran elaborated to Newsweek,

"Our oath as soldiers, the first line of it says we will defend the Constitution from enemies foreign and domestic."

💜 #USArmy Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman could have chosen to be a Whistleblower — instead he chose to stand front and center — testifying and corroborating the #Ukrainegate  testimony of

  1. William Taylor
  2. Marie Yovanovitch
  3. Fiona Hill
  4. Kurt D. Volker
  5. Whistleblower
  6. Donald Trump’s call summary, tweets and interviews  😂  #SelfImpeachment
  7. Mick Mulvaney has already confessed to on live TV 😂😂

💓 Purple Heart recipient  Lt. Col. Vindman chose “Duty, Honor, Country” and Loyalty to the Constitution.

A White House national security official who is a decorated Iraq war veteran plans to tell House impeachment investigators on Tuesday that he heard President Trump appeal to Ukraine’s president to investigate one of his leading political rivals, a request the aide considered so damaging to American interests that he reported it to a superior.
Lt. Col. Alexander S. Vindman of the Army, the top Ukraine expert on the National Security Council, twice registered internal objections about how Mr. Trump and his inner circle were treating Ukraine, out of what he called a “sense of duty,” he plans to tell the inquiry, according to a draft of his opening statement obtained by The New York Times.
He will be the first White House official to testify who listened in on the July 25 telephone call between Mr. Trump and President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine that is at the center of the impeachment inquiry, in which Mr. Trump asked Mr. Zelensky to investigate former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.
I did not think it was proper to demand that a foreign government investigate a U.S. citizen, and I was worried about the implications for the U.S. government’s support of Ukraine,”
I realized that if Ukraine pursued an investigation into the Bidens and Burisma it would likely be interpreted as a partisan play which would undoubtedly result in Ukraine losing the bipartisan support it has thus far maintained.”
“This would all undermine U.S. national security,”
“Ambassador Sondland emphasized the importance that Ukraine deliver the investigations into the 2016 election, the Bidens and Burisma,”

“I am a patriot and it is my sacred duty and honor to advance and defend our country irrespective of party or politics.”

Read the Times story about Vindman and his family. Jewish refugees who left the Ukraine which was a part of Soviet Union with only $750.

“He’s afraid people want to kill him.” #CowardInChief

Yet Trump says “my generals”, “my military” and wants a military parade. America  — REALLY?

Last month, President Trump was asked why he hasn’t visited a military base in a combat zone. He offered two explanations. He’s “very busy” at home, he said, and he doesn’t “think it’s overly necessary.”
Last week, the New York Times reported on a third excuse. Trump, aides told the Times, does not believe American troops should be in Afghanistan or Iraq and he fears a visit to the countries “would validate missions he does not truly believe in.”
On Monday, the Washington Post provided a fourth reason why Trump, who calls himself the most pro-military president ever, hasn’t set foot in a war zone: He’s afraid.
Trump has spoken privately about his fears over risks to his own life, according to a former senior White House official, who has discussed the issue with the president and spoke on the condition of anonymity to speak candidly about Trump’s concerns.
“He’s never been interested in going,” the official said of Trump visiting troops in a combat zone, citing conversations with the president. “He’s afraid of those situations. He’s afraid people want to kill him.”

How many Agents now feel the way Kerry O’Grady did in 2016?

Knowing that Trump could have made an Executive Decision and gone ahead with the ceremony instead of canceling  #AFRAIDofRAIN  #BadHairDay

Below is Secret Service Agent Kerry O’Grady’s October 2016 Facebook post. After an agency reviewshe lost her job in March 2017.

Special agent O’Grady released the following statement to the conservative site Washington Examiner in Jan. 2017. For some reason they deleted the article. Trump was elected!

BUT Kerry O’Grady’s story wasn’t deleted from hundreds of media sites in America and around the world. Google It!

I serve this country with pride and I proudly diligently and fiercely protect and support the institutions and pillars of our republic established by the very same document that allows my free expression. I do so with every fiber of my being for the very reason that those institutions are in place to guarantee my right and the rights of all our citizens to voice and express our opinions and beliefs even when and especially when those values may be contrary to those of the party in power. My devotion to mission and country is only strengthened by the fact that the founders recognize the value of dissent and the freedom to assemble and voice those opposing convictions.

“They enshrine those rights for future generations so we avoid the path of authoritarian regimes that shackle their people with fear.”

Tomb Guard Sentinels, the elite soldiers of the 3rd U.S. Infantry regiment chosen to act as guards at the Tomb, opted to sustain their constant vigil at the Tomb of the Unknowns rather than flee the oncoming bad weather. To them it was a matter of honoring their personal and professional obligations to the men and women who served before them and who serve now - and obviously do not have the luxury of serving their country only when skies are blue and the sun shines down upon them.
Although the Tomb of the Unknowns is watched over by Tomb Guards 24 hours a day, 365 days a year regardless of weather conditions, to have soldiers so duty-bound as to ignore their own personal well-being is an example of real patriotism and a real reminder of the sacrifices made to secure the principles of liberty.

Active Armed Forces members and Vets:

  1. Is attending 1 of the 2 ceremonies honoring those who sacrificed their lives OK?
  2. Do you get a day off for having a bad hair day or when it rains or snows?
  3. Is it OK for Trump not to have visited U.S. military bases in war zones?
  4. Is slamming #GoldStarFamilies OK?

“I said maybe I should cancel this arrangement because I have a bad hair day.”, Commander in Chief Trump  #AfraidOfRain

It is not the first time he has bemoaned bad weather during a speech, having complained about a “bad hair day” when he spoke to reporters in the rain after a fatal shooting in Pittsburgh.

Patriotism isn’t about when it’s convenient for YOU. #ShowUp #DoYourJob Everyone else did.

French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau all went ahead with plans to visit #WWI memorials. #CadetBoneSpurs

FYI: “betrayal of patriotism” is treason.

“Patriotism is the exact opposite of nationalism. Nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism” #TRE45ON  ✔️

“By saying, ‘Our interests first, who cares about the others,’ we erase what a nation holds dearest, what gives it life, what gives it grace and what is essential: its moral values.”
“I know there are old demons which are coming back to the surface. They are ready to wreak chaos and death.”
“History sometimes threatens to repeat its tragic patterns, and undermine the legacy of peace we thought we had sealed with the blood of our ancestors.”
"You know what a globalist is? A globalist is a person that wants the globe to do well, frankly, not caring about our country so much."
“I’m a nationalist. OK? I’m a nationalist. Nationalist. Use that word.”

Watch the beginning, Putin gives to Trump the thumbs up  #BrowniePoints for canceling honoring fallen Americans at the Aisne-Marne cemetery.

Or skip to the 29 sec, mark for Macron’s speech.

DONALD Trump has today cancelled a Remembrance visit to a US cemetery in France over claims the weather is too bad, ahead of the centenary of the end of the First World War tomorrow.

Remember, remember the 11th of November 🌺

53,000 US combat deaths. 63,000 dead of disease. 320,000 wounded. These troops fought victoriously alongside allies with whom the US still stands today. It's worth a few miles in a limo, a few words from under a tarp
