Paul Nicholas Miller was calling for a race war and using ethnic slurs when he spoke to his thousands of followers on social media before the law caught up with him in March. Tuesday, Miller cried in court as a judge sentenced him to 41 months in prison on multiple firearms charges, according to NBC Miami.

“Miller admitted that he had bought the ammunition and that he had tried to build his own rifle in part to learn about firearms manufacturing in preparation for a coming civil war,” prosecutors said in a news release. “In the months immediately before his arrest, Miller had made hundreds of internet posts publicizing his animosity towards various minority groups and his support for the initiation of a race-based civil war in the United States.”

According to Law and Crime, he applied for a concealed license permit in Florida and allegedly lied on the application about being a convicted felon.

Canada declares the Proud Boys a terrorist group

The announcement comes less than a month after group members allegedly joined the mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol.

Canada on Wednesday declared the Proud Boys a terrorist entity, adding the far-right group to a list that includes al-Qaeda, ISIS and al-Shabab in an effort to crack down on "ideologically motivated violent extremism," described by the country's public safety minister as the "most significant threat to domestic security."

Designation as a terrorist group carries financial and legal consequences. Police can seize the property of the group or its members; banks can seize their assets. It’s a crime to knowingly provide assistance to a designated group to facilitate or carry out attacks. Group members may be denied entry to Canada.

The government also listed the Atomwaffen Division, a neo-Nazi group whose members participated in the violent 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville; the Base, another neo-Nazi group; and the Russian Imperial Movement, a Russian nationalist group with members linked to violent activity abroad.

“These groups are unfortunately active in Canada and around the world,” Blair said. “Their violent actions and rhetoric are fueled by white supremacy, anti-Semitism, racism, homophobia, Islamophobia and misogyny.”

Also added to the list were eight groups affiliated with al-Qaeda and the Islamic State, as well as Hizbul Mujahideen, a militant Kashmiri liberation group.

The officer we are honoring today was killed because Donald Trump refused to concede, spread lies about our election, and called for an insurrection on Jan. 6th, aided and abetted by right wing media and mainstream republicans.

They are all complicit.

Brian Sicknick, Capitol Police Officer Slain By Mob, Will Lie In Honor In Rotunda

An arrival ceremony for Sicknick will take place once a motorcade carrying his remains along with members of his family reaches the Capitol. On Wednesday members of Congress will pay tribute to him.

Brian Sicknick, the U.S. Capitol Police officer who was fatally injured during the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol complex, will be given the rare distinction of lying in honor in the building's Rotunda.

Sicknick's remains are scheduled to arrive Tuesday at 9:30 p.m. ET in a motorcade including his family.

His casket will be escorted up the center steps and directly into the Rotunda. The Rotunda will be open to his former colleagues in the Capitol Police force for viewing beginning at 10 p.m.

It’s a list of thou shalt nots. A long list. A list that says guard forces can’t arrest any of the pro-Trump protesters, or search them, or even touch them. And that’s just for starters.

When initial reports indicate that the handful of National Guard forces that were deployed to D.C. on that day were dedicated to directing traffic several blocks away from the area of the Trump rally, it may simply be because that’s the only thing they could find for them to do considering the restrictions that were given. It’s clear that these restrictions would have absolutely prevented any guard forces from trying to protect any location.

Without my subsequent, personal authorization, the DCNG is not authorized the following:

* To be issued weapons, ammunition, bayonets, batons, riot control agents or ballistic protection equipment such as helmets and body armor.

* To interact physically with protesters, except when necessary in self-defense or defense of others.

* Prohibited from sharing “equipment with law enforcement agencies” or seeking support from any non-DC National Guard units.

* Forbidden from conducting “searches, seizures, arrests, or other similar direct law enforcement activity.”

* Forbidden from using “Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance assets” or to conduct “Incident, Awareness and Assessment activities.”

* No helicopters or “any other air assets.”
