Happy Friday the 13th 😄

"Democrats said they did not want such a consequential vote to occur in the dark of night, when the American public was unlikely to be watching.”

On Friday morning, 40 members of the panel solemnly took their places on the wood-carved dais and voted without any further debate. After a week of accusations and recrimination, the vote took fewer than 10 minutes.
the House ratify two articles of impeachment against the 45th president. In back-to-back votes just after 10 a.m., they adopted each charge against Mr. Trump by a margin of 23 to 17 over howls of Republican protest.

Full U.S. House vote will likely occur next Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019

NEVER FORGET: Democrats fulfilled their DUTY of being the Checks and Balances in the UNITED STATES House of Representatives.

Democrats in the House of Representatives announced they will introduce two articles of impeachment Tuesday morning, making clear they intend to charge President Donald Trump with abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
Both articles are based on the Ukraine scandal, meaning the party decided not to introduce any articles of impeachment solely based on the Mueller report, as some had pushed for.
You can read the full articles of impeachment at this link.
Articles of impeachment are essentially the “charges” against the president that the House of Representatives is considering approving. The final House votes on impeachment will be a yes or no vote on each article. If even one is approved, Trump is impeached — and the Senate will then hold a trial to determine whether to remove him from office.
Article I, abuse of power, addresses Trump’s general underlying conduct in the Ukraine scandal. It alleges that Trump abused his power by trying to pressure Ukraine’s government into announcing an investigation into the Bidens by withholding both a White House meeting and military aid.
Article II, obstruction of Congress, is about how Trump responded to Democrats’ impeachment inquiry over the Ukraine scandal. It alleges that Trump obstructed the probe by urging witnesses not to cooperate and government agencies not to comply with subpoenas.
  1. The House Judiciary Committee will vote on whether to approve each article later this week
  2. After that, the action will proceed to the House floor, with a final vote on both articles of impeachment expected next week
  3. If the House approves, it’s onto the Senate TRIAL.

Unfortunately, Republican Senators have already stated publicly — they will NOT fulfill their DUTY to be the Checks and Balances against Trump — violating their Oath of Office to the U.S. Constitution.

Guaranteed: Trump is going ape sh💩t over Republican Ken Buck's questions and Robert Mueller’s answers

Skip to 3:55 min mark because Buck rambles for the first 3:53 mins.

Rep. Ken Buck (R-CO): "Could you charge the president with a crime after he left office?" Robert Mueller: "YES" Buck: "You believe that you could charge the president of the United States with obstruction of justice after he left office?" Mueller: "YES"

Why Mueller did not and could not indict Trump

Buck: “How you not have made the calculation?”
Mueller: “The OLC Opinion, the Office of Legal Counsel indicates that we can not indict a SITTING president. SO ONE OF THE TOOLS THAT A PROSECUTOR WOULD USE IS NOT THERE.

He was not charged because he is the president. It is now the obligation of Congress to hold him accountable, assuming that no one is above the law.”

…to testify before the House Judiciary Committee, Rep. David Cicilline (D-R.I.), a member of the panel, told “Fox News Sunday.”

“We hope the special counsel will appear,” Cicilline said. “We think the American people have a right to hear directly from him.”

Mueller will testify that there are 2 liars who obstructed justice; Trump “Individual-1″ and Barr. #RussianAssets  #TrumpObstructed  #BarrObstructed #VoteBlue2020

Mueller complained to Barr that his four-page letter “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance,” of the special counsel report. The Washington Post first reported on the existence of the letter on Tuesday.
“There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations,” Mueller wrote in a March 27 letter.

Finally, someone calling out Trump for who he is and what he’s doing. Finally, Constitutional Checks and Balances after Republicans turned a BLIND EYE for over 2 years.

"I view this president and his conduct as the greatest threat to the democratic system and to the constitutional government since the Civil War”, Nadler

Nadler said in an interview with radio host John Catsimatidis on AM 970 in New York. "Whether it’s threatening the newspapers or threatening the judiciary or calling people who criticize him treasonous.”
Nadler, one of the Democratic chairmen set to probe various aspects of the Trump administration, said the House will soon be holding hearings including into "abuses of power" and "obstruction of justice."
“Clearly ... there have been major abuses of power, major obstruction of justice, obvious violations of the Emoluments Clause of the Constitution," he said. "All of these have to be looked at."

The Post reports:
Acting Attorney General Matthew G. Whitaker said he will not appear before Congress on Friday without assurances that he won’t be subpoenaed — giving Democrats a deadline of 6 p.m. Thursday to respond.
Whitaker’s move came shortly after the House Judiciary Committee voted along party lines to give its chairman the authority to subpoena Whitaker’s testimony, should he not appear or answer lawmakers’ questions.
Whitaker’s stunt comes after months of delay and refusal to testify voluntarily, a bit of chutzpah that did not go unremarked upon by Democrats (“the panel had sent Whitaker many letters and requests to settle points of his testimony in advance, to which he had chosen not to respond”). No doubt, when Whitaker shows up on Friday he’ll invoke executive privilege (improperly, since that is not a privilege that holds up against Congress), necessitating the committee then to issue a subpoena and attempt to compel his testimony.
The real issue here is Whitaker’s fear of appearing and being forced to answer questions under threat of congressional contempt, which could occur if he is under subpoena…
“This is outrageous,” said constitutional scholar Larry Tribe. “Whitaker seems to think he is entitled to dictate the terms on which he is invited to testify. He is not. It is anti-constitutional for a member of the Article II branch, not to mention an unconfirmed acting officer whose initial appointment was of dubious legality, to insist that he will not appear to give testimony properly sought by the Article I branch, acting through a duly constituted committee of the U.S. House of Representatives, unless that Article I committee first sacrifice one of its statutory and constitutional prerogatives.”

Republicans refused to have public hearing because they knew they would be exposed #PoliticalStunt #RepublicanWitchHunt

Bob Goodlatte, Jim Jordan, Benghazi Trey Gowdy and Nazi Steve King are making sure Republicans get their last paycheck from Putin before Democrats take control of the House on Jan. 3, 2019.

Grateful for a fair hearing from judge. Hard to protect my rights without being in contempt, which I don’t believe in. So will sit in the dark, but Republicans agree I’m free to talk when done and transcript released in 24 hours. This is the closest I can get to public testimony.
