Checkout the section “Why shutdowns happened — and how they ended“ covering Reagan, Clinton, Bush, Obama, and the Idiot in Chief Trump.
There were EIGHT shutdowns totaling 14 days under Ronald Reagan.
None of the past presidents took credit for a single shutdown ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
“It’s not always enough to lean in, because that sh💩t doesn’t work all the time”, Michelle Obama
#FLOTUS44′s timing is perfect.
Republican Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook’s COO was caught LEANING IN at Facebook a couple of weeks ago when she hired Republican dirty tricks company Definers Public Affair to target and smear George Soros, a Democrat Mega Donor.
Obama’s comments are not the first criticism of Sandberg’s approach, which some has said puts the burden on women, rather than widespread policy changes, to solve workplace inequality.
“Lean In” is in reference to Sandberg‘s book
Sandberg advocated in her 2013 book, “Lean In,” that women take charge in the workplace. It encouraged women seek to supercharge their careers by improving their negotiation tactics, striving to fill leadership roles at work, and taking control of their professional life.
Sheryl Sandberg admitted to CBS that parts of "Lean In" are wrong. Her and Ivanka’s books aren’t meant for underprivileged women or real working women.
“I did not really get how hard it is to succeed at work when you are overwhelmed at home.”, Sandberg
The Privilege Index
I think my fellow social scientists need to operationalize the notion of privilege. I’d suggest something along the lines of, “privilege is the relationship between what happens when someone with power in a community decides you’ve done something wrong, and the likelihood of your getting punished/not punished for it.”
- Donald Trump is a 100. No matter what he does, he gets a pass.
- Brett Kavanaugh is a 95 or so. He might have gotten into trouble in high school for what he did, but there was really very little likelihood of it.
- George W Bush was about the same.
- Hillary Clinton? I’d say 80/85. She faced obvious biases as a woman, but in general had significant advantages throughout her life.
- Young Barack Obama was about a 25.
- Meanwhile: Trayvon Martin? 0. Eric Garner? 0
That’s just a start, and just an opening bid. But I think we need to be more specific when we use these terms, recognizing the realities lots of people face while giving their personal stories the respect they deserve.

Something to remember about Republicans and hurricanes…
Fact.
Those people know who was president they know who was there.
Republikkkan voters are dumb bastards who believe whatever they are spoon fed by their masters’ propaganda machine. Education in the Bible Belt has always been poor at best due to illiterates on PTA’s and school committees. With the current trend of Republikkkan privatization of schools the education level in red states is probably at an all time low. They consistently vote for Republikkkans that plunder their schools and ruin their lives. Not only do they falsely believe Obama was in office for Hurricane Katrina they also incorrectly believe he was in office when 9/11 occurred.
This was a Republikkkan IQ test. But what about Hillary’s email?
Proof Republicans are fed their news from the GOP propaganda machine.
In 2000, the Gore campaign received an anonymous tape of Bush debate prep ...
Gore’s campaign immediately handed the tape to the FBI and called for an investigation of the leak.
But then, Gore was a man of character and a patriot, so maybe any comparison with Trump is simply unfair …
Why didn’t Donald Trump Jr forward Rob Goldstone’s emails about Russia having dirt on Clinton and who were willing to help his father to the FBI?
Donald Trump and American climate deniers just got Schooled by the Chinese government.
Republicans, Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher helped save the Earth’s ozone with the Montreal Protocol. So why do so many Republicans say they love Reagan but don’t believe in his positions or actions? Facts Matter. Science Matters!
U.S. Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush supported the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change in initiating global warming talks even before China knew that negotiations to cut pollution were starting, Liu told reporters at United Nations talks on Wednesday in Marrakech, Morocco.
“If you look at the history of climate change negotiations, actually it was initiated by the IPCC with the support of the Republicans during the Reagan and senior Bush administration during the late 1980s,” Liu told reporters during an hour-long briefing.
Reagan’s Legacy
While Reagan died in 2004, George Schulz, who served as his secretary of state, has become one of the most prominent Republicans voicing concern about climate change and urging action.
“The potential results are catastrophic,” said Schulz, 95, in an interview with Bloombergin 2014. “So let’s take out an insurance policy.”
China’s President Xi Jinping underlined the importance of cooperation between the two largest economies when he spoke to Trump on Monday, said Liu, who added China will continue its fight against climate change “whatever the circumstances.”
He added that richer nations should take more responsibility than poor countries for financing the fight against climate change, in line with the UN’s Framework Convention on Climate Change. “Of course we’re still expecting developed countries including the United States will continue to take the lead on mitigating climate change,” he said.
If you look at the Republican position on Climate Change and Donald Trump's statement on Climate Change, they come closets to the national policies of Nicaragua, Syria and North Korea.

Ironic how The Big 4 who brought about the global financial crisis of 2008 got even more monopolistic and unregulated.
Oh right! It was the Bush administration pulling off the save by practicing 21st century Neoconservatism via its $700 BILLION taxpayer bailout aka Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 ;) Bush 43 chanting, USA! USA! USA!
How 37 Banks Became 4 In Just 2 Decades
If you were wondering how banks got “too big to fail,” here’s a good place to start. This chart shows us how, over the last couple of decades, 37 banks have became just 4 mega-banks. These same 4 mega-banks have, thus far, been immune to the consequences of any and all of their terrible decisions that places the entire world economy in jeopardy.

Because private military contractors hired unqualified translators for intelligence gathering and interrogations, many innocent people (mothers, taxi drivers, pizza delivery drivers) were taken to Abu Ghraib and tortured for no reason at all. These companies were receiving contracts for BILLIONS of dollars, but would put no effort into vetting or training their employees -they’d hire as many people as they could, as quickly as possible so they could fulfill their contracts. They put lives on the line and damaged America’s reputation abroad for their own private profit. SUBSCRIBE: http://bit.ly/1JUX3Xv WATCH the full film free: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q8y-... One of the strategies they’d use is to strip detainees nude and tie a rope around their penises to cut off the circulation. Interrogators would tie 7 or 8 other men together this way, then push one -causing the whole chain would fall. They’d urinate on them, put weapons on their private parts, and inject them with chemicals that would render them unable to have children. These were INNOCENT people. Meanwhile, CACI’s CEO was bringing home over $22 million per year -even though there was no oversight of their operations. Because private contractors weren’t bound by military law, there was a “Wink & Nod” approach to interrogations. The companies (CACI & Titan -the latter now known as L-3 Services) would simply turn a blind eye, so they could have plausible deniability and avoid prosecution. The ONLY two people to be punished for this widespread abuse are two individual soldiers that carried out the orders. No one at the top has been sent to prison for their negligence and profiteering. The worst thing that could happen to a contractor would be simply sent home -only to return the following week, working for a different company. The Spies Who Fooled the World is a documentary on the intelligence that lead to the Iraq War by Peter Taylor.
The title of documentary is misleading because the real spies were not fooled at ALL. It was the politicians who were the fools! And people paid the price for these warmongering jokers. Sadly, Rumsfeld, Cheney and Wolfowitz roles were not covered.
George W Bush, George Tenet and Tony Blair ignored the intelligence from
- Former MI6 chief, Sir Richard Dearlove
- Former European CIA chief, Tyler Drumheller
- Former Director of German intelligence, August Hanning
The CIA (except for George Tenet), British and German's KNEW that the intelligence was based on very sketchy informants. "Red River" failed a lie detector test. Curveball, Rafid al-Janabi, admits on camera that he lied.
Peter Taylor: "We went to war in Iraq on a lie, and that lie was your lie,"
Curveball: "Yes"
