Trump better be careful what he wishes for!  #TRE45ON

“Firing squad rule change fast-tracked,” Wiles began, seemingly reading a headline. He and others sitting around a table then took turns naming things that happened around the same time: the election; a shakeup at the Pentagon; the Michael Flynn pardon; on the day before Thanksgiving.
“I’m not trying to be funny about it, but … because they plan to shoot some people,” Wiles said, attempting to explain the firing squad rule given other completely unrelated events. “They’re going to have a bunch of traitors, they’re going to line them up against the wall and start shooting them, because that’s what they deserve.”
Wiles went on to say that if leftists, Democrats, the media, scientists, and professors have been “working secretly with the Chinese Communist Party” then “line them up against the wall and shoot them.”

Trying not to laugh at Clay Jones’ cartoon  — Forty😂😂😂😂😂

Back to being serious.

White Christian conservative men (let’s just pretend Trump’s a Christian since he claims it) are the biggest whiners about victimization where there isn’t any. In this instance, one of them is appropriating actual victimization, something that brutally happened to hundreds of Americans. Most of those Americans who were lynched in the past were black men, hung by white, Christian, conservative men.
Hey, Trump cultists. Guess what. Worse things have happened to people than being impeached. What will Trump appropriate next? Slavery? Japanese internment? The Holocaust? No, Donald Trump. Your impeachment is nothing like a lynching, especially since most lynching victims were only guilty of being the wrong color in a hateful society. Donald Trump is guilty of violating his oath of office. Nobody is hanging him because he’s orange.

What if Pence is impeached before Trump? House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would become the 46th President of the United States of America. Evangelicals, choke on that. #ChurchOfTreason

The symbol of Donald Trump’s defiant attitude and undignified threats in the face of impeachment proceedings is presently a tweet in which he quoted conservative Evangelical leader (and huge Trump ally) Robert Jeffress, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, to the effect that we’d experience violence if the godless socialistic Democrats get their way
Next in line as possible apostates in this particular situation would be the Christian right. Why? Because removal of Trump from office would elevate their favorite pol and Trump-whisperer, Mike Pence, and give the Christian right a lengthy and stable hold on power (if elevated by Trump’s removal from office, Pence could run as an incumbent not only in 2020 but in 2024).

Sick Misogynistic Patriarchal Warmongering Evangelicals

Trump remains a man whom Southern Baptist spokesman Russell Moore accurately described as someone with a “Bronze Age warlord’s” attitude toward women and no credible evidence of belief in the gospel of the Prince of Peace.

SADISTIC Religious Fanatics  #CrimesAgainstHumanity

In an essay entitled "The Myth of Choice," published in the journal Annals of Internal Medicine, an anonymous doctor wrote of a patient whose fetus had no brain or no skull, but only a stem.
"This condition has no survivors. None," the doctor wrote.
"The baby's heartbeat trots through the monitors while you softly hold her gaze. Her eyes plead with you. End it. You talk to the obstetricians, because eventually it will end. But nobody will do it. Not in this state. Not in this hospital. And so, the mother goes home, pregnant and grieving."
A few days later, the mother returned to the hospital miscarrying, and had to give birth to a fetus she and doctors knew would die shortly after.

"The baby is born with no skull, eyes like gumballs too big for their sockets. Alive, briefly. It hurts to look," the physician detailed.

"Some of the nurses need you to fix it, to save this baby with the magic of medicine. You remind them that he is very premature, that he has no brain, that he cannot survive. This is not an ambiguous diagnosis."

The doctor encouraged the mother to hold her newborn child, but she refused "because once seen it cannot be unseen" and she didn't want to form a bond.
"Gently, the baby dies. He is warm, whole, and not alone," the doctor wrote. "There are no doughnuts at the nurses' station that night as this young mother is wheeled to a room in the back corner of labor and delivery, away from the other mothers and their pink, crying babies."

This is not the first time the doctor has had to care for a woman "whose wishes were warped by politics."

The doctor went on to describe how money is too often spent on attempting to save babies born with fatal diagnoses who go on to die as expected.

The Rise Of ‘None’

Thomas Edsall looks at the numbers, noting that those choosing ‘none’ as their religious affiliation has risen past Catholic and White Evangelicals to 23% of the US population. Why does this mean to US politics? It’s bad for hard right republicans.

Is Trump Good for Trump? | Thomas Edsall
In another development with substantial political consequences, the national religious landscape is changing in a direction favorable to the left: Americans with no religious affiliation — a disproportionately Democratic constituency — have now become the largest religious group, edging past evangelical Americans and Catholics by the slimmest of margins, as the accompanying graphic shows.
The rise of nonbelievers is even more politically significant if white evangelicals are considered separately from their heavily Democratic black, Hispanic and other minority counterparts.
White evangelicals, according to Ryan Burge, a political scientist at Eastern Illinois University, now make up 18.6 percent of the population, 4.4 percentage points less than the 23 percent of the population who profess no religious commitment.
Among white evangelicals, Republicans outnumber Democrats 61.1 percent to 21.7 percent, according to Burge. Among those without religious affiliation, Democrats outnumber Republicans 53 percent to 21.5 percent.
Robert Jones, the C.E.O. of the Public Religion Research Institute, and Paul Djupe, a political scientist at Denison University, observe that the edging out of white evangelicals by the nonreligious — known to pollsters as “Nones” — is almost certain to drive remaining white evangelicals further into the ranks of the Republican Party.
Jones wrote in an email that, according to the new General Society Survey data, “today, the religiously unaffiliated outnumber white evangelical Protestants” by nearly 7 percentage points.
The decrease in the percentage of white evangelicals began, Jones continued, during President Barack Obama’s eight years in power. According to Jones,
the anxieties that produced about a changing country and white evangelicals’ place in it were actually integral to pushing white evangelical Protestants toward support for Donald Trump in 2016. So these changes are not just now upon us; they’ve been an engine driving the political dynamics for some time. But the new G.S.S. data shows them continuing unabated.
In other words, in the short term, as they feel they are being eclipsed, white evangelicals become more politically engaged, more assertive — and more dangerous to their opponents.
Burge claims, however, that the long-term future of the conservative evangelical movement could be in doubt:
It’s going to run into a demographic brick wall going forward. 81 percent of evangelicals in 2018 were white, compared to 72.4 percent of the overall population.
Among younger voters 18 to 25, “only 60 percent are white,” according to Burge.
Ultimately, Burge argued,
hitching their wagon to Trump may stave off some losses now, but it may be a fatal strategy in ten or twenty years.

Solving America’s problems: add “evangelical orientation” to lynching bill.

Liberty Counsel, an evangelical nonprofit that opposes gay rights, and its chairman, Mat Staver, are taking issue with the bill’s inclusion of LGBTQ people.
Staver told OneNewsNow that his organization, which has been labeled an anti-LGBTQ “hate group” by the Southern Poverty Law Center, is lobbying lawmakers in the House to have them remove the bill’s “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” language before taking a vote.

Jerry Falwell Jr too!

Liberty Counsel has ties with Liberty University Law School, which was founded by the Rev. Jerry Falwell with the assistance of Liberty Counsel's Founder.[46][47]
Liberty Counsel has interlocking boards with several related organizations.[3]

Stop giving religious people a free pass

Religious people are not “enlightened” for saying something that would otherwise constitute basic human decency.

Religious people are not extra kind and good because they choose not to discriminate against people of other religions, races, gender identities/expressions, sexual orientations, socio-economic class, nationality, or anything else.

Religious people do not deserve to be praised for paying lip service to progressive values. Especially when they turn around and give money to organizations who work to destroy the rights and freedoms and lives of others.

Religious people are not immune from criticism of their views just because they believe their views to be sacred. A teaching that entitles it’s practitioners to hurt others is an evil teaching. End of discussion.

Stop giving religious people a free pass. A smiling face hides a lie better than an angry one.

GOOD PEOPLE ARE GOOD BECAUSE THEY CHOOSE TO BE GOOD TO OTHERS, not because their “god” tells them to be.

If you and I fall into bad moral habits, we can harm our families, our employers and our friends. The President of the United States can incinerate the planet. Seriously, the very idea that we ought to have at or less than the same moral demands placed on the Chief Executive that we place on our next door neighbor is ludicrous and dangerous.”

"Throughout our history, we have seen the presidency as the repository of all of our highest hopes and ideals and values. To demand less is to do an injustice to the blood that bought our freedoms.”

“In a day when reckless extramarital sexual activity is manifesting itself in our staggering rates of illegitimacy and divorce, now more than ever, America needs to be able to look to her First Family as role models of all that we have been and can be again."

"Our leaders must either act to restore the luster and dignity of the institution of the Presidency or we can be certain that this is only the beginning of an even more difficult time for our land. For the nation to move on, the President must move out."
