Funny how Bernie literally is NOT a member of the democrats. He joined when he needed to use their resources in 2016 and left the instant he was done with them. So Bernie’s fair game.

Maybe Bernie doesn’t want to be a Democrat because one of Hillary’s staffers said they wanted to “punch him in his Jew nose” in those leaked emails (you know, the ones liberals love to mock people for being concerned about) and tried to use his Jewish heritage against him.

Maybe Bernie doesn’t want to be a Democrat because they actively tried to sabatoge him every step of the way.

Maybe Bernie didn’t want to be a Democrat because they mocked, demeaned, and belittled him for literal decades.

Maybe Bernie didn’t want to be a Democrat because they were beholden to big finance, phrama, and tech industries at the expense of working people.

Maybe Bernie joined the party in 2016 not to use their resources (he already had a pretty robust small donor base and mail list w/o them) because he was smart enough to know an Independent run for President would only split the vote.

And no the vote wasn’t split by Bernie or even Jill supporters.  We were lucky that Johnson umped in because he skimmed enough votes from T^ump to keep him from winning the popular vote.  This is also for those that want to know where the “missing” white votes went.

Listen if Bernie Sanders doesn’t want to b a Democrat then he shouldn’t run as one when it is convenient for him. If he is a Independent run as one. He ran as a Democrat to get his name out there. I don’t care what pll say he used the Democratic ticket to split the vote. I hate Jill Stein but she did run on the ticket she is associated with

How does running in the Primaries, dropping out when you lose (see: get screwed over), and then not only not running an independent, but also endorsing the person you lost to “split the vote.”

Does no one on this website know what splitting the vote even fucking means?? Splitting the votes means he would have taken votes away from her in the General Election which he wasn’t even running in. HOLY FUCK. Running as a Democrat was specifically to keep the vote from being split.

By the way: more Bernie Primary voters voted for Clinton (91%) than Clinton ‘08 Primary voters voted for Obama (76%) for crying out loud.

The only way to win the Presidency in our absurdly broken system is to run in one of the major parties, doing anything else is sabotaging the party you’re closest to. He already caucused with the Democrats, it just made sense to run that way.

I haven’t responded to your previous post.  When I tag I do it very broadly and include both sides so – hopefully – the “other” side will see it and respond.  I’m pro-choice but I also tag pro-life, for example.  When you see “Berniebro” think horses not zebras.

You wrote a lot tho so I’ll respond. Almost everything you wrote in the first paragraph of the other post re: guns and Sanders is 100% subjective.  Saying Sanders has voted in a way that upholds the Constitution and allows for rights that liberals would otherwise strip away [paraphrasing here] is your viewpoint. It’s not a fact.  So “Bernie” doesn’t get a pass on that. “Bernie” supports a conservative point of view on guns.  Even David Hogg from the Parkland shooting has pointed out Bernie’s pov on guns is problemmatic.  You can trot out the idea that Bernie supports guns for hunters but that doesn’t explain why he’s repeatedly voted against holding gun manufacturers responsible for the end results of their products.  

Let me ask you this because i’m genuinely interested:   Why did “Bernie” say that if he became president, he’d tell the Supreme Court to look into breaking up corporations?  Either he doesn’t know how the Supreme Court works (they don’t take orders from the president) or he was relying on his voters not knowing that.  Those are the two choices.  (Please don’t respond with any reference to HIllary Clinton.)

Bernie doesn’t want to stay a Democrat because someone said something mean about him in an email? Pathetic. He doesn’t want to be a Democrat because… the party finally agreed with him on marriage equality? Uh, okay. That makes perfect “sense.” He doesn’t want to stay a Democrat because taking money from Amazon, Alphabet, Boeing, Kaiser Permanente, the Air Force, the Army, and the Navy somehow makes him morally superior? LOL! Sure. If that helps you sleep at night.

He lost the Democratic primary because only an old white guy would be so fucking entitled as to demand that the Democratic Party’s base (women, non-whites, and LGBTQ people) shut up about civil rights and fall in line behind him because their fight against discrimination (what he dismissively calls “identity politics”) is scaring away the white working-class bigots he’s desperate to recruit. In the 2016 race and again in the 2020 race Bernie is the ONLY “Democrat” who is unable to balance civil rights with economic populism.

And get the fuck outta here with that nonsense that he didn’t need the Democratic Party’s resources. Bernie Sanders mocked, demeaned, and belittled the Democratic Party for decades, then admitted that he joined it in 2016 to increase his media coverage and to raise money that he couldn’t raise outside the two-party system. His insincerity in joining as a fucking user is another reason he didn’t do well with the party’s base in 2016. Then, after vowing that he would remain a Democrat the rest of his life, he reneged on his promise. He also rigged the 2012 and 2018 Democratic primaries in Vermont to ensure that he would face no competition from actual Democrats and win re-election.

Bernie Sanders is a liar and a user, he’s steeped in straight white male cisgender privilege, and he’s finally being vetted by both the media and his Democratic rivals. I can’t wait to see him torn apart, and given the pathetic defense you and other Sandernistas have mounted so far on social media you’re going to be a hindrance, not a help, to him.
