And Trump is mentally “incapacitated”. Firing Trump without impeachment 😊
“There’s a bigger issue, whether this president is intellectually qualified to be President of the United States,”
"There is a bigger issue here I think the anxiety of the American people are wrestling with. Which is, whether or not this president is intellectually qualified to be president of the United States. There is a credibility issue, yes. He is never, part of his ego, going to apologize for false claims. He is going to make more false claims. The question is, are we dealing with a president who is, electorally qualified of course, but intellectually qualified."
"I think he is learning about his health care bill, listening to you Poppy and Chris in the morning. This is not a president who practices in details nor understand the finer points of domestic policy or foreign policy.
So when he throws out a wiretap charge, what does that mean? Yes, we know he is lying about that. But it means he doesn't understand what a FISA court is. He does not understand he just made an allegation of a felony. He does not understand that he is rippling the credibility of the United States on the world stage. That speaks to more than credibility. It speaks to intellect."

“Trump’s lie over the Carl Vinson,” read a headline on the website of the newspaper JoongAng Ilbo on Wednesday. “Xi Jinping and Putin must have had a good jeer over this one.”
“Like North Korea, which is often accused of displaying fake missiles during military parades, is the United States, too, now employing ‘bluffing’ as its North Korea policy?”
“The 50 million South Koreans, as well as many common-sensical people around the world, cannot help but feel embarrassed and shocked,”
Trump’s lies out number his first 100 days:
Oklahoma Rep. Tom Cole
Nodevember has started a hell storm by firing Crockford as a speaker from its conference.
We will also be removing Douglas Crockford from our keynote speakers list to help make the conference a comfortable environment for all, @Nodevember
I don’t know Mr. Crockford personally, so I can’t speak to the vague accusations of him being a sexist. But I tried to do the research for the facts. The facts are really sketchy.
A tweet from @jsdnxx. “nice list of illustrious dude programmers. notice any omissions?“ @jsdnxx didn’t offer a suggestion. How is that moving the ball forward? Here’s my suggestion, Lea Verou. I’d paid to see her! Gender is an issue in IT but is it Crockford’s fault that he has become renowned as a preeminent expert?
The accusations are of unsubstantiated views of a small minority seeking political correctness. For example, using the word to “stupid” to describe other presentations. What were the specific presentations? Without knowing that, it’s a non starter. LOL, I’d be the very 1st to admit that I am really stupid compared to Mr. Crockford!
And then there’s taking the words “promiscuity” and “commitment” out of context - taking them as the literal as @ag_dubs did with “slut shamed the web”. Did she and others watch the entire 46 min. talk, “The Seif Project”? I did and didn’t find anything offensive. I’ll be branded as being bias because I’m a man. But try reading the actual definition of “promiscuity” and “commitment”.
His accusers have to take a breathe and evaluate if they are not the ones who have been prejudiced by an inherent predisposition of negatively associating “promiscuity” and “commitment” with women, gay people or whatever preconditioned word association.
Did Crockford’s accusers or Nodevember vilify Steve Jobs for being a jerk and berating Apple employees in public? Or Linus Tovalds for his Linux email rants?
I’m assuming Nodevember will have to pay Crockford for his non appearance. People who paid to see him won’t be able to! There’s a sad irony in there. I’m sure he’s laughing about his paid time off.
Will Nodevember be testing ALL “potential” speaking candidates to its code? a-la Trump ideological test?
I visited Nodevember site hoping to find a list of speakers for its Nov 2016 event but couldn’t. It’s early September and they’re still looking for speakers! Hard to believe but there isn’t a list of organizers or sponsors. They did make sure you could purchase a ticket ;) Their Facebook page hasn’t been updated since Sept. 2015. Nodevember has only been around for 2 years. I would have expected more from n00bs trying to make a name for themselves. There are more professionally organized and important JavaScript conferences (Fluent and JSConf).
Social justice is important. Opinions are important. But as Nodevember will learn, pandering to a small vocal minority does not work ... except for bad PR. So good luck Nodevember with getting speakers for 2017.
What if climate news stories were peer reviewed? Meet: Climate Feedback, a news service that helps determine the credibility and scientific accuracy of climate news. Scientists from around the world volunteer their time to review and comment on the accuracy of climate news, and their comments are supported by evidence and resources. Fun project. I hope they last…
What is Climate Feedback?
Climate Feedback organizes scientists from around the world to comment on the accuracy of a variety of climate change media articles using the emerging technology of web annotation. Scientists’ comments, or ‘annotations’ are layered directly onto the original texts allowing readers to easily identify where and why the coverage is consistent (or inconsistent) with state-of-the-art thinking and knowledge in climate science.
Climate Feedback assigns each article a “credibility” rating based on the annotations and evaluations made by the participating scientists, giving readers an overall guide to the accuracy of the text. We call these evaluations ‘Feedbacks’.
All Feedbacks will be archived on our site, creating a useful resource for anyone to easily compare and contrast the credibility of different news sources.
For the latest “peer reviewed climate news” click ClimateFeedback.org/Feedbacks.
