Because there was another shooting at another school – this time in Santa Clarita, CA – today. A signal boost.

Thanks #MassacreMitch McConnell  and Republicans,

for being #NRAwhores — accepting blood money to do the bidding of gun manufacturers — absolutely nothing.  #NRABodyCount   #GOPBodyCount #TrumpBodyCount

Trump: "There was no quid pro quo" except when there was ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It’s called BRIBERY

The Times reported that LaPierre offered "financial support for the president's defense" if Trump commits to "stop the games" on gun control legislation.

Never forget: The NRA donated $30 Million to Trump in 2016 — much of which was Russian money!

Mitch McConnell plans to visit CA next week to raise money. Instead he should visit Washington DC to save lives by allowing votes on the House's common-sense gun safety bills. If you agree, retweet this message and call the @senatemajldr at (202) 224-2541 or (502) 582-6304.

Disclosure reports for political spending show that the NRA has rewarded that loyalty handsomely. In just the last six months, the gun promoters have spent $1.6 million on lobbying members of the House and Senate to keep any legislation from moving forward. Mitch McConnell has personally gotten around 5 grand from these merchants of death, but there’s little doubt that he’s seen nearly every penny of it pass through his hands — the NRA knows that the House is a lost cause, since Dems have controlled it since January. But Mitch oversees the Senate PACs, and that’s where the lion’s share of that quarter million per month has gone.
In return, McConnell has single-handedly blocked all legislation, even for the gun reforms that some members of his OWN CAUCUS support.
I guess you could but an AR-15 to protect yourself. Ironically, however, the NRA didn’t buy a gun at all. They bought a Senator.

Republicans have proven they won’t take action. So ‘We the People’ must Vote them OUT. #NRAComplicit #GOPComplicit #TrumpComplicit

“The US makes up less than 5% of the world’s population, but holds 31% of global mass shooters.”

It’s the Guns Stupid. NRA and Republicans #WeCallBS

1) America has a unique gun violence problem
2) “The problem is guns, not mental illness“
3) The research shows that gun control works
4) State and local actions are not enough
5) America probably needs to go further than anyone wants to admit

So some of the protestors yesterday put $1.05 stickers on themselves. They noted this was the amount of money the NRA had given to Marco Rubio/spent against his opponents and then divided by the number of schoolkids in Florida. Thus, Rubio thinks the kids are worth less than $1.05 each.

Nicely done.

I don’t want your condolences you fucking price of shit, my friends and teachers were shot. Multiple of my fellow classmates are dead. Do something instead of sending prayers. Prayers won’t fix this. But Gun control will prevent it from happening again. https://t.co/UZPgcPoPUX

The Mercer’s and their Mercer Family Foundation philanthropy is nothing more than PR. Using their money to whiten up their soiled image when they’re NOT:

1. Using their offshore shell companies to buy votes, buy and elect politicians to set domestic and foreign policy

2. Trafficking and funding #Hate #Racism

3. Trafficking and funding Lies

A few examples of the Ultra Rich Buying Acceptance

  • Sackler family, prominent cultural donors, to the company that produces OxyContin, the powerful painkiller that has been involved in opioid overdoses.
  • David H. Koch in 2014 gave $65 million to rename the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s fountain plaza

Sackler Family: Using OxyContin profits for philanthropy

Opioids are “killing roughly 142 Americans each day”. Can the lack of ethics and morality really buy redemption?

It was not until 2015 that they were noticed by Forbes, which added them to the list of America’s richest families. The magazine pegged their wealth, shared among twenty heirs, at a conservative $14 billion.
To a remarkable degree, those who share in the billions appear to have abided by an oath of omertà: Never comment publicly on the source of the family’s wealth.

Billionaire Republican Donors

Richard’s political contributions have gone mostly to Republicans—including Strom Thurmond and Herman Cain—though at times he has also given to Democrats. (His ex-wife, Beth Sackler, has given almost exclusively to Democrats.)
In 2008, he wrote a letter to the editor of The Wall Street Journal denouncing Muslim support for suicide bombing, a concern that seems to persist: Since 2014, his charitable organization, the Richard and Beth Sackler Foundation, has donated to several anti-Muslim groups, including three organizations classified as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Financing Trump’s Voter Fraud Lie

The foundation has also donated to True the Vote, the “voter-fraud watchdog” that was the original source for Donald Trump’s inaccurate claim that three million illegal immigrants voted in the 2016 election
