Guys, please help... my boyfriend's starting to lose hope 💔

It's been almost two weeks since his GFM has gotten any donations, the last one being from me. He seriously needs to get out of that hellhole of a house. Everything he's been telling me keeps getting worse and worse, and I can hardly bear to listen. I can't even imagine how much worse it is to experience.

@ftguyhijkl has been living with his abusive mom and stepdad for a while now. He has tried moving in with others several times, but it's never worked out for him for some reason or another. He is constantly yelled at, insulted, and invalidated, and his only real support system is mostly online.

Please, if you'd be so kind, donate to his GFM so he can escape. If you can't do that, spread it everywhere you can. It breaks my heart to see him in this situation, and I don't know how much more of it either of us can take.

The destruction of Mohammed's startup has stripped the family of their primary source of income. This loss is compounded by the closure of schools in Gaza, depriving their children, Layan, Sarah, and Adam, of their right to education. With the educational institutions in disarray, the children’s future remains uncertain, threatening to deepen the cycle of poverty and instability.

The war has not only affected their financial stability but also put the family's health at risk. The destruction of hospitals has left Mohammed's wife, Enas Majed, in a precarious situation, particularly during her pregnancy with their youngest child, Amir. The family also struggles with medical conditions, including their son Adam’s battle with viral hepatitis and other illnesses like measles, which have become prevalent due to the lack of proper healthcare facilities.

The family has been forced to flee their home multiple times, living in constant fear and without basic necessities such as clean clothes and adequate food. Their situation has become increasingly desperate, with the cost of escaping to a safer environment being prohibitively high. The financial burden of crossing borders, estimated at $5000 per adult and $2500 per child, is beyond their means.

Mohammed and his family urgently need support to overcome these challenges. The total estimated costs for providing education, housing, and essential needs amount to between 27,817 and 42,485 euros annually. This includes:

- Education Costs: 11,817 - 18,485 euros per year

- Housing Costs: 12,000 - 18,000 euros per year

- Basic Needs: 4,000 - 6,000 euros per year

This financial assistance would enable the family to secure a stable and safe environment, ensure the children’s return to education, and provide the necessary healthcare to overcome their current difficulties.

On the one hand, I am filled with rage, fear, and helplessness when I check in on the families I have come to know and love and I see what hell they are going through. I can't even begin to imagine the terror that they must feel, every second of the day, simply trying to survive.

I see my friend Ahmed | @abuyaminfamily / @ahmedabuyamin | posting pictures of the bullets that ripped through the tent where he and his family are sheltering. The bullet barely missed him. He could have died. He has young children. He is the father to a newborn baby.

And yet, as horrific as it is, I still thank all the stars in the sky that I got to read that post at all. I am thankful that he is able to keep posting. I am thankful that he and his wife and children are still here. Because I don't want to face the insurmountable dread of the idea that one morning, I might wake up to hear nothing from them at all.

We used to live peacefully in the Al-Shuja’iya neighborhood, in a house we built just a week before the war began. I worked as a farmer and owned a large chicken farm that provided for my family.
