Guys, please help... my boyfriend's starting to lose hope 💔
It's been almost two weeks since his GFM has gotten any donations, the last one being from me. He seriously needs to get out of that hellhole of a house. Everything he's been telling me keeps getting worse and worse, and I can hardly bear to listen. I can't even imagine how much worse it is to experience.
@ftguyhijkl has been living with his abusive mom and stepdad for a while now. He has tried moving in with others several times, but it's never worked out for him for some reason or another. He is constantly yelled at, insulted, and invalidated, and his only real support system is mostly online.
Please, if you'd be so kind, donate to his GFM so he can escape. If you can't do that, spread it everywhere you can. It breaks my heart to see him in this situation, and I don't know how much more of it either of us can take.
In fact, if you donate and show my proof (I don't have asks on, so please DM me), I'll give you a free art request as thanks. My art isn't the best, but I'll show my appreciation to anyone who can help out my boyfriend (examples will be under the cut).

A woman who says she was repeatedly denied adequate emergency care last spring is blasting the Newfoundland and Labrador health-care system, saying she's been left psychologically scarred after being told several times that her gangrenous appendix was simply anxiety or constipation. Joy Spence, 21, said she visited emergency departments at two hospitals in St. John's over the course of nearly two weeks this May. What began as weakness and abdominal pain on her right side quickly deteriorated into blacking out from the agony in her torso. But no matter how dire her symptoms got, doctors kept sending her home. "They would just tell me, 'Your bloodwork's normal, there's nothing we can do.' They would send me home, then same thing again," she said. "I would go back again. They would get me to do the bloodwork, say everything's normal." Ultrasound and CT scans apparently turned up nothing, but Spence, in such severe pain, says she had no option but to keep returning to the hospital, where she says she was eventually left screaming in a waiting room, ignored by hospital staff. "If somebody doesn't help me, I'm going to die," she recalls wailing, watching doctors and nurses pass her by. At one point, she was dismissed outright by a walk-in clinic nurse, she adds. "Somebody said to me, 'I don't know what you expect me to do,'" she said. "'You're a healthy 21-year-old young female.'" One night, she says, her boyfriend had to help her into an ambulance. Spence was in so much pain she couldn't stay conscious and stand on her own. "I remember the man in the ambulance telling me … how often he sees other young women going into the hospital and seeing them be misdiagnosed and not taken seriously," she said, speaking through tears. "He said that he would do his best to … get things going for me."
They nearly killed this woman by blowing off her symptoms. Other women have since come forward to say their symptoms were also ignored. One woman died because no one would listen to her. And yet the head of emergency departments insists that there is no sexism in the hospitals.

hi a note for transfemmes: there is a site called eshakti where you can get beautifully made femme clothes in a wide variety of shapes, colors, prints, and fabrics -- all made to your measurements. it is not cheap, but it's also not expensive for what it is. i dont know where they ship outside of the us but im sure they have it listed somewhere.
im not a transfemme but i pretty much exclusively shop from eshakti when i can because my body is ridiculous shapes that are not found in pretty much any clothes i could buy off the rack. the quality is amazing, and if anything fits weird, you can send it back for adjustments.
my partner IS a transfemme though, and she just got her first order in, and she just looks so beautiful and so happy and i just. i want to make sure y'all know this exists. i know not everyone can afford it, but for those who can, it can be really nice to have something in a shape you want, in a color you want, in a fabric you want, made for your body no matter what shapes make up your body.
typically for your first order you get custom sizing for free. right now (july 2nd 2023) there's a 35% sale on the whole store, and those sales happen probably quarterly, and you can get the free custom sizing on top of that. you MAY be emailed by the team to confirm some of your sizing, but i promise it's just to make sure your measurements are right, and not the company trying to judge or discriminate. i was contacted for my wild shapes (bust/waist ratio) and my partner was contacted for her height (she's 6'3"). you just email back confirming and it's totally fine.

You know what? I used to make fun of the guy(s) who wrote the French Wikipedia article on Actual Cyrano for very passive-aggressively debunking the historical inaccuracies in the play.
Like. Of course Actual Cyrano, who had his way with the ladies and possibly the gentilshommes of his time, wasn’t actually stuck in a deadly love triangle. Of course Molière didn’t actually steal “Que diable allait-il faire dans cette galère?” from him. Edmond Rostand is not a lying liar who lies, he’s taking obvious creative liberties — there’s nothing to debunk!
But now? Now I understand. Whoever wrote this was probably traumatised by Dumas père.
Dumas père will grab your hand, look you dead in the eyes, and make shit up about French history with the utter confidence and total lack of reliability of his musketeers. Things like a secret marriage between Anne d’Autriche and Mazarin. Things like completely reinventing the paternity of two (2) kings of France. And he will present it all as fact in his footnotes. His source is that he pinky-swears that it’s true. The balls on this man
