Hi there, the name is Zelda, or one of like, 20 other names that may or may not be listed somewhere around here. If you know a name I go by that isn't findable here don't use it. <3

I'm bigender which is made up of girl and fem6oy, as such I use she/her and sometimes he/him pronouns when I'm feeling fem6oy enough <3

I'm in my 30s, not getting more specific than that until I decide it's not true enough to change it, don't try to find my exact age as I don't like sharing that information publicly, I don't even update it on my birthday <3

I'm a polyamorous bisexual voraphile freak and if you're over 18 you're welcome to talk to me about how much of a freak I am. I love to flirt and encourage it. Also happy to share my Other Blog with anyone interested, again as long as you're of age. <3

I'm a film graduate and currently working on doing something with that experience as well as working on a superhero comic and a 2D zelda style game. Feel free to bug me about any of those I love to discuss writing and media and want to encourage media literacy. <3

I'm also an ex-jehovahs witness and as a result I'm hugely into the holiday season in a very against my old god kinda way. Also big into sinning <3

Further on the identity weirdness I'm an imaginary friend for the person who used to inhabit this body, they've been gone for like, over 20 years so it's not really relevant but I have started embracing my nature as a fictional creation, it's comforting.

you know who works at lockheed? a LOT of cis people! they disproportionately exploit the very small number of trans people to whitewash their business and try to convince the public they're actually a Good and Benevolent corporation.

you know where trans women are actually overrepresented? food service. call centers. service industry jobs with bad pay and miserable working conditions.

the whole "trans women who can afford to transition are bourgeoise" discourse and the "it's okay to not medically transition, you don't have to transition to be trans!" discourse are part of the same genocidal project designed to erase trans people. most trans women are broke - in medical debt due to surgeries, in regular debt to afford hair removal. our experiences can be as wide and varied as any other group, but disproportionately trans women are underemployed, unemployed, and in poverty. but by portraying us as out of touch elites, they have another effective angle to dehumanize us, and one that unfortunately works very well against some so called 'leftists'. learn to recognize the signs

I think it's important to add that most trans women I know are in debt, but it's not even because of surgeries and hair removal -- they're in medical debt due to being impoverished human beings subject to the USAmerican medical system, they're in regualr debt because they needed to buy food or fix their cars while they were unemployed. Most trans women I know can barely consider gender affirming surgeries due to being in poverty for completely unrelated reasons, which do not diminish their transness nor the fact that they want to and usually are medically transitioning -- just not the expensive ones.

The the perception of this stereotype of trans people working for evil corps like Lockheed started because Ana Mardoll on twitter was exposed as working for one of these. Ana was TME, so how the fuck did we get tarred with this brush. Is there any reason why people may be purposefully misrepresenting the facts when it comes to transwomen?

Almost like that hypervisibility gets us blamed for everything anyone who's even vaguely trans-adjacent does, including by people who really should know better

Emily Programmersocks takes the blame for everyone else's bad behavior and doesn't get to complain because after all, she's so privileged with all that visibility

I’m still thinking about that “is OSHA regulations Cop Behavior” post. Like. You know who thinks regulations are for losers? People who build submersibles out of logitech gamepads and rejected carbon fibre. People who trust starlink as their only surface lifeline.

We have an expression in my field- “Regulations Are Written In Blood”

People don’t have fucking safety standards as a power trip, we have them because somewhere in the past, NOT having those regulations killed or maimed someone.

A lot of laws out there are bullshit- safety regulations sure as fuck aren’t. I have the literal scars to prove it.

Doing things safely cuts into their profits and lets workers survive long enough to learn.

If you're ever irritated at how long it takes to be safe?

Remember your bosses hate it twice as much!

Then be even safer.

Safety regulations are there because businesses see workers as expendable.
