Out of curiosity (actually confirmation? I don't even know), did you base Jade's steamstuck outfit off of her Iron Lass outfit?
Yes, I did! Most of their outfits are based on some aspect about them or another. (John's is the Green Slime Suit, for example, Roxy's was based on Mom's outfit and her Void aspect, Jane's was based on Betty Crocker paraphernalia, etc). I'm headed out to meet up with some friends right now, but when I get back I'll draw up a long readmore on each of the designs and why I chose to do what I did! 8)

I will be honest, the concept terrifies me. I already used a lot of the ancestor's design qualities in the beta trolls, and even though I'm taking a stab at the alpha kids, I've been brainstorming nonstop for two weeks to finish four outfits in an original way - have you ever googled "steampunk outfit"? Especially for the guys, it's really just the same outfit tweaked a few different ways! Twelve more unique troll designs are not likely. 8(
Edit: My friend convulsivecostumer is picking up where I've left off for the alpha trolls!

I don't mind at all, anon! I'd also be happy to draw references for you, though if you could specify exactly what you'd like me to go into detail about I can finish much faster. Sometimes what's obvious to me isn't as obvious to someone else!

Aaa, thank you!! I'm supposed to be leaving soon for a meeting about my portfolio so I don't have time to draw any new references, but I do have an old rushed one for her shirt and harness -
and I've also done a headshot that details her earrings and goggles, and may be helpful for the anatomy of her mechanical arm. Her pants are 1920-40 styled jodhpurs, and her boots are pretty similar to ones you would find on a regular God-Tier Vriska. What else... Oh, her scarf is made of a light material that's somewhat see-through. If you need any other references, you can message me and I'll try to elaborate. Good luck!!! *u*

Yes, I did! I couldn't resist doing some kind of explorer-type Aradia, but the Aradiabot was too good to pass up as well.

I already have, actually. They were my first designs, so I think I've grown a lot in my interpretation of steampunk since then - I'm not too happy with Jade's outfit, for example. I might revisit them once I'm done with the trolls.
