I was attempting to trim Tristan's mohawk (1st picture, "before") so it wouldn't fall over his eye. I couldn't get it right.

When I was done, I took Tris to the grass to roll off any loose hair and shake out the wiggles, as usual.

HE ROLLED HIS MOHAWK OFF!?

I am so sorry, folks, I just couldn't get it right and I do need his hair out of his eyes right now. It's a good time for Tristan to have less hair anyway, with the continuing heat wave and burr season coming up next month. We'll start over from scratch; we've done it before!

I'm just using a smartphone to take pictures, and it has real difficulty distinguishing the big fluffy white curls, the black markings, *and* the dark brown eyes. When the lighting is just right, the camera can see them :)

When his hair is shorter there's less white to interfere, and the camera can distinguish his eyes more often.

When the headfloof gets too long, we do cut it or clip it... and we're about to, it's starting to flop over his eyes occasionally :)

I clipped Tristan's black headfloof and his face. I don't think the skunk-streak mohawk is quite working for him right now. I may need to cut that whipped cream topping a bit, or maybe clip it and start over.

No, you're right, his stripe isn't centered ;D I can fudge it a bit by clipping one side reeeeeally close and leaving some black on the other, but hey, right now it's just sagging like emo bangs anyway. Keeps falling over his right eye.

I'm not going to delve into whether the emo look suits his personality. Tristan's Fetch and Tug Buddy might have Opinions if I said things like that about his little boy. I think I'm just going to buzz it.
